Radar has a pretty big signal on it over the Cascades going northeast up to us and the fastest part of the jetstream is pointing southeast right over western Montana, so really hoping that the bulk of the moisture curves over the Koots.

Skiing sounds amazing out there. I would love to get at it but my diesel truck won't start in -36degree temps here in calgary. At least I have the internet....

Another good day in Revy. Clear skies and great snow. A little slow because of the low temps but we will take it

Revy was pretty good today. I got faceshots on the lower mountain (ie. below the day lodge).

And by pretty good, I mean really awesome from top to bottom. That crust that was there lower down last week seems to have been buried now, so doing mid-mountain laps was lots of fun.

I only got one run today, but what a rubn it was... another 17cm at Red, and I was up early for control work on Roberts...

Tommorow I get to ski a bit more, and clean up any leftovers that there might be on the ski hill.

Decent day at whitewater today. Lots of powder hungry people. Summit chair was down for an hour or two though so that preserved the fresh stuff nicely.

So I arrive in Calgary on Friday. 2 buds from Chicago and my brother from SLC arrive around 9pm. The only thing we have planned is a rental car, actually a rental minivan because passthedutchie is in charge.

That's the only plans so far.

We are hunting, pow. Who isn't, but home mountain laziness can reduce venture and range. This is wide open.

Do we head South toward Fernie

Do we hit LL, Kh, stay in Golden and stray to Revy for a bit.

Thinking of a cat day or two but don't have local oil money throw down. Skills are there.

I like the idea of hooking up a mag and getting some local lines but paying for some lessons.

    I'm conflicted

powholic, wait till you are here and then chase the snow.

Revy was soft top to bottom today! Some bigger lines got thrown down, was a sick day!

ww was so fun saturday! thick bottomless snow, hit my classic lines before anyone else, pillows galore- did a double then a triple, landed them all, was so exciting! best times! broke out the skis for the afternoon chop and that was great too.

Revelstoke skied really nice today. They only reported 7 cm but the wind made it feel much deeper in Separate Reality, Vertigo and North Bowl. It was nice to have a pow day of sorts without lines too.

I also had someone describe the Fingers to me as "almost too deep."

Saturday at Revy was all-time. I have never skied such deep, light, over-the-head blower in my life. The best runs of the day were lower mountain. I was choking on snow from open to close.

Now back to the heavy coastal stuff. Thanks for sharing!
