Little bit of Junuary last wednesday on Big White. Skied from 6-9:30 8 inches of new, skied to the car just shy of the black forest parking lot after doing a few laps on the cliff.
Tried to get more of the same at monashee lake but was denied this morning by heavy rain to what looked to be 6500ft with nearly all avalanche paths running just before the head of the valley. The road to monashee lake is now passible for 2wd cars with skinnable snow at 1425m but that new snow will be gone soon and skinning next week after this rain will likely not be possible until 1600m.
