So... 15cm in the last 24h... 11 of those o/n.

But it was my day off, and I'm a little under the weather and it was crappy wet stormy this morning in town, blah, blah, blah. Ended up on the chair at 1:30. Still had totally fresh tracks in some of my favourite lines, and it was good all the way to the bottom of Motherlode chair. Love the lack of skiers at this time of year. Sadly it means we will close in just under 2 weeks.
Really great afternoon surfing my Lhasas in the freshies!

I know what you mean. It's been so awesome lately, that I'm turning into a snow snob! Forecast looks good for the next 36 hours...

Tuesday was solid up in the Pass. Hit Baldy Rocks, the crust was pretty apparent under the +25cm. Still had tons of fun, drops were hit & chutes rallied. Even got a run in off the highway on the way up while waiting for avi control. Thanks for the beers Jeffro!
Went up to Kirkup this morning. Sketch. Bad vis, settlements, shooting cracks, super easy shears at 20ish & 40ish cms in the hand pits plus a general all around bad feeling in the gut stopped us from even making the ridge let alone head for the east chute. Two mellower laps & we bailed. Other than vis, I hope things were good at hill!Life is simple. Go Explore.

in theory, we might have the biggest day of the year tomorrow. even though I'm sick, I think it's a mandatory.

i somehow ended up in spokane last night, and got accidentally very inebriated, no thanks to their terribly low priced alcohol. but sounds like i'm glad i wasn't around to get your message on time to hit up kirkup!
seriously dumping rain all the way from spokane up to literally rossland city limits, when it started turning to snow. tomorrow should be fun at the hill!!

who cleaned the board at red so early today?!
ww was pretty good. It's amazing how filled in everything is since I was up there last week. it's almost flat! I wasn't able to take full advantage of the snow, due to lack of energy from the sickness, but it was still fun and I got 3 excellent singles in a row so that made it extra nice.

wow, ww was really good today. 73c in the last 3 days! hardly anyone there! the snow quality was great except just the very bottom. it made a pretty shussing sound as it sluffed off turns. one of the lift maint guys seemed to be having fun side slipping under the chair at high speed multiple times.

Big White was a nice surpise this morning with 18cm fresh, and its been snowing up there the past few days. A little heavier snow than I have grown accustomed to in the interior but still like a dry snow day on the coast.
Looks like more snow in the forecast this week. Sure will be nice to go for some rips on the bike and on the skis this week.

Sounds like here. You're not going to recognize Red next weekend sparkletarte!
18cm o/n today, refills most of the day... convective squalls dumping as I write.
Settled snow at the weather plot tipped over 3m today. Party tonight!

sigh, missed the big day at Big White today. Had to hear about it second hand from my bud as my season's done. Caught an edge there a couple weeks ago, a ridiculous fall goofing around in the flats 20 yards away from the Snow Ghost lift line. Packed it HARD, breaking 6 ribs and puncturing a lung, right in front of the patrol shack!!
See ya next year :-(

Conditions have been great at Revy the past few days. I skied one of my best runs of the year today. It's criminal that they'll be closing in a week with a three metre base.

also skied my line of the season today @ red. 2 or 3 solid seconds of white out faceshots down a chute. not sure how i didn't hit multiple trees. and i agree...finally a 3m base, and it's really too bad the hill's done in a week. my skins will be getting much more of a work out soon.

Best skiing of the year for me Friday and Saturday. 2500ft vert sled laps in the sunshine on Friday, followed by more fresh for sat. Got to love starting the line in the alpine and ending in giant old growth cedars at the bottom of the valley!

I don't know if any of you guys have ever been to Mt. Baldy near Oliver/Osoyoos. I recommend it.
It's cheap and closed during the week so the snow really stacks up, everything that isn't a run is gladed so you can pretty much rip anywhere. It's not that steep and the fixed grip double is pretty slow, and there isn't much vert (1300 feet) but the bar at the bottom is old-school awesome and serves 20oz pints. There is no colorful bullshit marketing anywhere, no condos... just a classic little community of 140 or so lots with little cabins and a-frames tucked into the woods buried under snow. I skied there this weekend and will certainly return in the future if the conditions warrant it. I saw a few grannies who could rip as well.::.:..::::.::.:.::..::.

What's more, there is no snow in the forecast, so it's only going to get worse...
