I just wanted to bump this and see what everyone thought...I myself was impressed. I thought it was very well done.
Anyone else have some in put? What did you like, not like?
I'll start it off by saying I was really stoked on the guest speakers. All evidence based snow studies and a good refresher about what we need to keep our eyes open for in the backcountry.
I'll be honest thought when I say the report by the two girls that sledded the pfeifferhorn was a kind of flat. I just kept wondering if they picked something that was out of their skill set. Did anyone else get that impression or am I jumping to conclusions?
The report by McCall, Mark, Pitt and them was eyeopening and echos what everyone has been saying this year about the odds of being in an avalanche will catch up to you eventually. They did a great job.

quaterlapperbobblebros intro needed luv put that on spew tubes or vimeo and it wasn't as funny as some seem to think, but he prob cherishes his bobble farts and thinks that god awfull hippty hoppity go light shovel probe shizz is still cool
Smoozed w/ venders during 1st pres. Not into the well here is one possible weather forcast forcast or anty pres that ends with. well we're not sure of our data. Wake up and check ski what fell is my modus of op
Awesome presntations after that. The looking for plt's and models in MT/galliton coloiurs and chutes was awesome.
Watching those 18" pop hard q1 on Ak faces and Rob/Sfish varitable spaciability on ect was awesome.
I share a bit of your codeword "way over our heads" setiment , but they did have plenty of BD gear.
I myself did every wolvie chute Ata named before broads/bonkers/twins, but it was a boot pack alpine trecker ease of acess thing. Pretty amazin that many peeps were up there so late in the season and I blame the provo bros for spraggin.
textbook rescue though.
The Manti/skyline incedent was tough as Garrett wasn't as lucky as the pheif chicas.
It took great courage for them to stand before others and retell the painfull incident.
The we didn't really factor in the enormity of our possible escape/exit plan and the digging outfrustrations was good info
good to see a mag whose fam was involved see the pain on his face and give a bro a hug.

I'm really glad I made the trip to UT. I seriously enjoyed every talk! Ian McCammon's was my favorite though. I really love the Dunning Kruger research and how it relates to backcountry skiing. Huge thanks to everyone who made it possible and those who attended!
