Yahoo's New Email Blows Rancid Chunks
OK, so how many of you poor suckers have used yahoo email over the years and are now exposed to the new putrid, slow, clunky email interface?
Does anyone know a communication mechanism for the folks at Yahoo that designed, tested and implemented this?

I'm in this boat now. Fuck Yahoo mail, I'll be opening another gmail account shortly.
All I know is that I don't know nothin'... and that's fine.

The new mail works great for me and I like it better than the old. Disclosure: I work for Yahoo - not on mail.

I get all my junk/sales emails at a Yahoo account. I haven't had any major problems with it (though I don't use it intensely) but it annoys me when I hit the "back" button from a specific message and it takes me the whole way to the Yahoo home page rather than back to the message list.

Who uses Yahoo? Gmail, dude. You can also port all of your Yahoo (and other email addresses) into your gmail. Their spam filter is also far superior, so no need to keep a separate email address for spam and/or bacon.
Mmm ... bacon.

It's horrible for me as well. Been on Yahoo mail for 15 years and the new version is almost unusable at times. It's painfully slow, full or error messages, and just plain sucks balls. Please bring back the old version!

I had Yahoo mail for 12 years. I ditched it several years ago when they implemented their then-new design which also sucked and was slow. Going to gmail was seriously one of the best things I've ever done organization-wise. I love it.

I new there was a reason to refuse their insistent upgrade pressure. I thought it was just their new rules allowing them to read your mail, like google does

Ya, I'm with you on that one but I only have a yahoo account because I've been using it for fantasy sports for years. It has become my junkmail/spam account. Everybody knows gmail's the real deal.

Not to mention that they changed the features so now you have to "upgrade" to yahoo plus (at 20 bucks a year) just to forward you mail to another account.

I'll eat my words if you can prove me wrong.
Or you know ... you could just man up and quit using a yahoo address. When I hear people talk about yahoo, here's what I think: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/email_address

I can't stand how the "back" button takes you out of mail. I've switched to gmail because of this. Otherwise it is ok. I haven't tried it on a slow computer so can't complain about the speed.
Did you know that gmail can import all of your yahoo mail emails? It takes a couple of days, but it will suck them all out.

Gmail will import your yahoo emails. Go to "settings-> accounts and import -> import mail and contacts"

Will only pull Yahoo emails for 30 days. To pull emails from Yahoo longer than 30 days you need POP3 which requires a Yahoo paid premium account which is exactly what the guy said above.
What I should have said is üm, no, after 30 days it doesn't"
There. Happy now?

You can also set an auto response stating that you've switched your email address to one that doesn't indicate that your grasp of the interwebs is that of a 65 year old retiree. If you're really savvy, you can set it so only contacts in your address book get the message.
