I've skied almost every day this year. This might be the whiskey talking (thanks Dusty's) but I will say this with confidence:

Easily the deepest, most awesome day of the year. Go anywhere, huck anything. Total white room conditions everywhere.

I'm stealing this from another thread: Today was redonkulatarded.

This morning was 100 km/h winds at the Roundhouse and 150 km/h at the top of the T-bars. I hear the liftlines were ridiculous for the morning, (as Bunion says "What are these lift lines you speak of ") but those that hung in till the front passed and Emerald/Red opened were rewarded with insanely deep and light pow with absolutely no crowds.

I'm not going to say where I went, but I will say that everything I hit was total white room top to bottom.

Still dumping as I write this at 10:30 PM.

Don't expect the alpine to open early tomorrow, but expect the lower mountain to deliver the goods.

I'm freaking out right now. I have the next 3 days off and it's FUCKING ON!!!!

This is why I live in this town.

If you missed today, you blew it. If you miss tomorrow, you should just leave town.

I am coming up to Whistler from Seattle on Wednesday. Anyone have connections to any discounted passes? I can do the edge card, but would rather help out any mags who have passes they want to sell to make a little cash.

Ever since the GSA graced Whistler with His presence the weekend of March 3rd, shit has been going off. March rules.

So, how good was it today? From my desk, I saw that Peak was the first alpine lift to open, so props to Clownshoe and co. for their hard work there. I'll try to remember to fill out a comment card this weekend re: early T-Bar etc.

Likewise at a desk in Vancouver... Every day this week I think I will be wishing I called in sick.

Props to the patrol on both mountains for pretty consistently getting the alpine open quickly. I've been doing Blackcomb the last few times I've been up but definitely support the T-Bars opening up on Whistler.

It was busy. But my first lap down Khyber was bottomless all the way. Straightlining off every pillow and rolls through the trees. Best run I've ever had through there.

Awesome day today! Had about three low freshie runs, then waiting for Crystal to crack, then a couple of Spankies laps. Then waffles at the Crystal hut!

They must have let some of the lifties go... only one ticket validator at Gondola Base2 and two others standing there watching people load onto the gondola in the AM.

Awesome day. Waiting in line for peak chair to open, there was about a 30 minute snowball fight, then it was first tracks down cirque. Then next lap hit whis bowl, down to doom and gloom, where surprisingly, it was untouched again. After that finished it off with a few million laps.

    What a great day

I've been reading this page for most of the season... decided it was time to say hi

Incredible runs down peak2peak line on whis today.. after a bit of a scoured/crusty entrance there were pillows a plenty! The SPT rideout was even enjoyable

all deep, all day, bell to bell....my body is pretty much toast at this point. Early McC's, 3 of the best Khyber's of my life, as Jim said, just launching everything in site to waist deep landings, it was exquisite. Finished with another McC's at 4pm with the sun shining down bright and sparkly, love this place!

I cheated on Blackcomb Mt today with Whistler in the white room
So deep! So good! My best inbounds day so far.

Oh, and Alex hit the Coffin again today!

Now time to grab a beer and get some work done.

Man you must ski fast if you got a few million laps on-top of all that other stuff you did!! I dont know what my record is but its probably not even over 30. What sort of wax do you use?

    Today definately delivered.

I only skied three laps, they were long, and it took me all day to get them done.

They were all deep and delicious.

The lineups were crazy in the morning and non existant in the afternoon.

    Pow Pow Pow

Got ridiculously deep 1st tracks down false face when 7th finally cracked this morning. Then, with the Horstman Tbar down, I pretty much had chainsaw ridge to myself all daylong because everyone went for Spankys and simply forgot about that part of the mtn. It was a friggin ghost town! Literally nobody skiing the sudan, falsies, bushrat and everything in between. Instead of going down to Jersey, I did the short boot up to the top of Jersey from the bottom of the bowl and then right back to down to 7th. 20 min laps and I had fresh tracks almost every lap. Five-0 was waist deep at noon. Even the trees off the cat track down to 7th delivered all day long. It was like a dream. Topped it off with an untracked DOA lap at 4pm that went fucking blubird! Best inbounds runs of my life.

    Mind=Blown

Yup, there just wasn't enough clearance to open the tbars, but the whole glacier was actually open. So deep, everywhere.

Toby, I gawked at how few lines were down chainsaw at 5pm. Tomorrow will be more of the same... Shins hurt.
