For anyone who toured up WB today... At what point did it get deep enough to make a turn?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Really depends how much you cared about your skis... Started skinning where green line hits mainline on Blackcomb. Lots of snow melted throughout the day though. GOOD turns were only made on the glacier, though we went up/back out glacier road, so not sure about the front side...

Mike's asking because he's trying to figure out how long he has before he has to sleep in the shack.

Thanks for the info, Kalisto. I need to do a bit of skinning before I get up there so my hip flexors don't explode on camera

Skinned kadenwood to peak. Bottom and top 1/3's were easy skinning, deep in places. Middle 1/3 was tough. Better option is probably just up summer road - more vertical hiking but less fighting undergrowth. Turns were good, although I was solo so just skied saddle. Whistler bowl/shale slope both good to go, but had enough drifting and soft slab to make me uncomfortable skiing it alone/with pooch. No photos, but similar conditions to what kalisto found on BC. Despite good weather, open shack was appreciated - thanks Whister patrol.

Looks like the cases of beer might start early this year
Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.

Just droppin' in to say hello and get my stoke on! Tahoe transplant here, it's my first year at UBC and I can't wait to get it on at Whistler. See you all around the hill, when the season gets under way!
