Snowmass was skiing well before and they got 7". Should be some good low angle noodling?

Some of it's skiable, most of it's not. China and Sundown are the best options from what we saw on our way to Mush, but its gonna be a while be a while before Rasp/Red/Sunup open, completely bare. They're trying to open under 21 for the holidays, based on the grooming we saw.

those aspects by 2 elk are above 10k so they hold some snow but below 10k and if it faces directly south it's bare ground. FWIW, Gratzo doesn't think the pattern is changing anytime soon....we'll see I guess. Maybe a year where we get 150" and call it good?

Just posting to report that the tree shots skier's left of Game Creek were skiing surprisingly good today. Also, anything facing NE was pretty wind-affected (Chair 3, 4, 11).

Got out to Butler Gulch yesterday with GoldenBear. Late start at 2pm, so we only got in one long lap before it started to get dark. Awesome boottop to knee deep turns with a few faceshots along the way. Unfortunately the best pictures turned out blurry, messed up the focus.

The newspaper says they will be opening Grouse Mountain lift Saturday AM at Beaver Creek. I'll be riding the pine, fighting a sinus infection. But if I was hoping for any soft,~fresh snow inbounds at Vail/Beaver Creek, I would be at Beav for the lifts to open Saturday AM and be at Grouse Mountain opening early.

I'd be as happy as anyone if Vail opened a WROD through the Back Bowls to Blue Sky. But I wouldn't get hopes up because that's never happened before. Plus they can't even bring enough hot dogs to keep serving through lunchtime next to Pete's lift (in Blue Sky) So VA is probably content to keep everyone near 2 Elk, Mid Vail, and the Lionshead Gondola where there's plenty of booze and food to sell.

Ok thanks guys. I'm here, and the lack of snow is stunning, especially after the last few years I've been coming here
