I think it needs 1000 inches to really get started. Can't believe you folks are out and about already. I have to wait until Thanksgiving this year. Chomping at the bit.

Might be meeting up with the parents in Palm Springs this April. That can only mean I will need to escape for a few days and head up the east side. Never been south of Mammoth Lakes. This could be fun.
213. Not my full resume, but I am pretty sure I can bench press 120 pounds.
Bring on the stoke.

Super stoked I found this thread, I have some sweet BC pics from opening day weekend but I can not post them for some reason (think it’s my post count). I am looking for riding partners, BC and resort riding alike, so if it would just fucking snow already we could get on with it.

Oh man, it keeps looking worse and worse:
Dry on Wednesday, then light snow will likely develop on Thursday with a few inches possible from the fast moving storm. Dry weather returns on Friday and lasts through next week with the Christmas weekend holiday looking dry as well. There is a good chance there will be no significant snowfall in December as there are no signs of a pattern that will support a big storm through the end of the month.Ein Berg ohne Absturzgefahr ist nur noch Attrappe. I definitely would considering starting over, especially since the state of the BC right now truly is starting from scratch.
Maybe do it Jan 1st. New year, new snow.

Are there any stashes in the Eastern Sierra that are holding snow worthy of a day trip?
I was up in the Whitney zone last weekend and the bowl/chute just south of Mt Muir had pretty decent coverage (I was postholing in 2-3 feet above trail camp), but that's too much of a slog to get up there for the day. Any patches worth hiking off Tioga?
