Same. I thought he kicked ass! Zaffino is good too. He always mentions the incoming powder for us riders! I just wish he had more to talk about lately...

I grew up watching Ramblin' Rod. But I guess watching the weather report before school is cool too.

Good news, powder on the way!

I'll be back in town in a week and a half. Just thought I'd like you all know I'm bringing the snow with me, just like last time (opening), and the time before that, and that, and that

But seriously, where'd winter go? But seriously, I've wound up tits deep so many times with a one day window it's crazy. And I'm always EXTREMELY grateful for it...Here's hoping winter will be back, and SOON!!

Will you have anything mounted tele? Not that it will likely matter, unless the weather report is way off.

BTW, rode a chair last week with one of your former interns - had ferrets all over his topsheets.

Very nice. I took a few classes in College, but did not pursue it any farther.

On a side note, I am coming to Bend after xmas. I have a 3 of 5, and a daugther who is just learning. Basically, I'll be riding solo. Perhaps if we see some snow, and that's a big perhaps...I can buy you a beer after multiple years of trying to make that happen!!!

La Nina better deliver the goods soon. I'd very much like to do some skiing on Hood while home over Christmas. I grew up racing on those hills and I've been anxious to get back. DO WORK!

3+ inches, with a little freezing rain event from top to bottom to cap the 3 inches...

Can someone who goes today give a report on how those three inches were? I need to go ride groomers tonight at the very worst, and would love it if they were not ice...

Was up there till closing last night. It was decent snow, what came down. Not endless deep blower, but it almost felt like it after all this nothing. I thought I felt a little freezing rain on the lift, but never noticed it on the ground.

Right on. Seems like we had the snow, then had the freezing precip after...Meadows is still saying they are seeing a bit of wetness mixed in with snow right now...Painful. I think I am still going up there to TURN...but would love to hear from those who go up today.

Super stoked to check out ON3P's stuff on Saturday at Bachelor. Lib Tech will be up there too with their NAS skis in case anybody is interested. Pumped to get on some of those as well. 2" last night at Bachelor, tho i'm sure that's a stretch. This early season drought is torture...

Today was decent and got better as day went on, but coverage is pretty sketchy on anything steeper. I haven't been up in a couple weeks and you are definitely rolling the dice in main bowls and shooting star ridges. Three inches of new seemed accurate, but there is an ice layer below it and stumps and rocks are hiding everywhere. Not exactly the right mix for safe fast riding..

Went up for some turns after work. Was able to find fresh stuff for a while. Scratchy though, especially on the steeps. Pow ice pow.

From what I saw this afternoon, I call BS on base=40. There is alot of stuff exposed right now.

not bad, not bad at all...
couple hours of rain at the bowl to start it off, new coat is nice and water proof, old pants not so much
but snow was slurpee smooth if you found the fresh, and damn fast once wax wore off and it got a little colder in the evening
got some solid recon in, found a few new lines for when it fills up, pussed out on a few i should have hit though, shark fins and weak legs arent conducive to my growing of a sack
finished off the first platter of nachos of the season as well, always nice to end the evening with a food coma for your 3 hour drive home while the passenger passes tha fawk out, bastard...

hope you guys got a few slashes out of the "pow" as well, got to love the good old PNWet

Meadows was better than I expected last night. The 3 to 5 inches helped a bunch. That said, so much snow is needed. I was very paranoid about the board. Refused to leave the new one at home. Dumb, I know. I escaped without major dings!
