    since nwac isn't forecasting...
your thoughts on BC conditions on Hood, please

previous weekends, it's been sunny with a high around 40 with freezing overnight. snow was fun through about 11am at meadows

this weekend, it's supposed to be partly sunny with high of 56 on saturday at 5000'. overnight temps are expected to be mid to hi 30's (not freezing).

i'm wondering if newton cyn would be at all recommended as a morning tour on saturday - what do you all think?

Maybe they're all out getting it? I know I wish I was. Won't be back to Hood until may so this comment is actually pretty useless.

i've been playing golf. i'm heading up to meadows on tuesday most likely. but as markd so aptly pointed out, i'm only gentle when i want something and i'm still trying to advance beyond intermediate terrain. tee hee!

With all of the rain and the warm temps, I'd be watching for wet slides

Oh, duh, yeah, feet first only. I was picturing things physically getting hacked off as you slid down.

Agreed, but is there an early morning window - or are you saying high danger conditions = not a good day at all?

How is Saturday different from a typical spring conditions day?

We've had a rainy last couple of days. Is that a consolidating effect? Or a destabilizing effect?

    I'm curious about 10 to 11am corn...

flying back today there were several slides around the mountain. And powder skis in 6'' of corn is some of my favorite skiing, just gotta choose a good wax.

You should all consider it your solemn duty to slay the fuck out of some corn for me as I'm laid up on the couch for a long while.

Can't wait to get back to training for AK.

Stayed at TJ cabin last weekend - conditions were great on Cooper Spur but it got slushy quickly on the way down.

    Unbelievably warm/clear weekend though:

I'd love to be at Skibowl with you hooligans but my wife is sending me to Vegas for my 30th birthday. Gulp. If this ends up being my last post on TGR, take solace in knowing that I wanted it to end exactly this way. The hookers. The blow. The bolt through the cock. The mysterious troll in the desert. It's my dream and I'm gonna go live it.

On the other hand, if I survive, count me in for the spring corn trips!

Today should be some decent skiing at meadows. If anyone reads this I'd recommend heading up.

I have asked SKibowl when they will announce their closing date for over a month now, pretty lame to do it 3 days before the end.

I'm up for a trip to the butte. PM me.
