Im gonna tour one if not both days this weekend- Newton for one day, maybe Tom/Dick/Harry the other if there's enough snow down low. Anybody else gonna be out skinning vs riding lifts?

i'll be shooting for early chair sat & sun with the fam & a buddy

my little guy isn't ready for the first chair rush, but, after two snoblasters lessons, he dropped his wedge and is asking to ski the black diamonds - hopefully he'll still want to ski with me when he gets good

sunday is looking windy, so upper chairs may not spin and thus monday may have stashed goods opening up too

it's looking like an impressive holiday weekend lineup!

I used some store cred I had to end up with some 192 Bent Chetlers. I have to say I feel pretty dirty about it.

Newton Canyon did not suck today. Patatero:

I'm either going back up there tomorrow, or perhaps up Tom Dick & Harry. A little worried about the elevation- anyone at SkiBowl today with some snow beta?

toured white river today and finished with a few nights runs at ski bowl. white river was great, 8-12" on top of crust that wasn't too noticeable. Great skiing for the most part. Stability was a bit iffy, good bond between layers but wind blown pockets were releasing. Tomorrow will be DEEP Tom Dick will be a good choice but watch the stability ^

The Chetlers were getting slightly dirty today in 4 bowl, but the 191 BGs were more casa diablo for sure.

The piste was a nice mixture of great snow on wind deposited aspects, wind keeping the general populace down, good visibility for the most part, and more snow. private reserve/gods wall was not the best snow, but lower aspects are getting touched and that should change. I anticipate huge crowds on the lifts tomorrow. good luck in your chosen attack.

Two minutes of a fantastic day on Tom Dick & Harry:

Stability was solid, we weren't hitting the bottom and the snow was relatively blower-ish for most of the day.One of my best days this season, for sure.

Hey benk- another great edit - what software are you using to put them together? Also, we gotta quit driving past each other and meet up for a tour one of these days. I really want to hit the western facing trees across from the fin in White River one of these days.

damn that looked good today ^. WR not so much, everything we skied yesterday was completely blown off and was showing blue ice. The fin was ok but didn't want to trust the stability too much + my beacon kept turning on and off and I took that as a sign to leave. I'm always looking for more peeps to tour with, I'll shoot you a PM at the end of the week (weekend is starting to look real nice)

I use a combo of Quicktime, Lightroom and iMovie to edit video. Not the best way to do it but it works.

If anyone is interested in getting David Steele and I up to SE Alaska through this TGR Contest it would be greatly appreciated.

Might be out of commission for a bit. Couldn't clear the knee-high hurdle of a downed tree at Bachy yesterday:

    mhm 2/19

^^Nice work boys, bummer on the leg skid.

MHM was a cluster f. Most of the powder was skied off pretty quick. People were actually walking up 35 from teacup to get in. Touring was the wise choice.

Headed out of town, hopefully this will bring some dumpage for you.
