South faces were supportable and firm this morning.

We went canyoneering.

Emerged.....

Then took a short break.

And enjoyed 4,000+ feet of unadulterated fun.

Maybe an hour or two later and it would have softened up.

I figured that was your car at the bottom of Tanners this morning, Trackhead..great stoke. South had nice corn at 9:30 a little higher up the canyon.

Got a text at 5:30 from Trackhead, are you coming? Had set my alarm for 4:45pm. Driving up the canyon, realizing my headlamp was broken for a scrub oak thrash, swearing under my breath at max Vo2 while trying to catch them made for a great morning. Get it while it's "good".

Just read today's avy report and I guess it is official, the worst winter for snowfall in the Wasatch in 60 years. Not surprised but I kept thinking it had to get better sooner or later. Even the low snowfall would not be so bad if it were not for the temp swings we have been getting that creates the slop and then rock hard frozen "drool" as BT described it earlier this week. Going to drink a high alcohol Devastator apply a thick coat of wax and hope for a better next season.

^^^Don't let Tremper get you down. Somebody find that guy an office job! As the Collins stake measures, we're already doing better than in two other winters, and I'd be suprised if we didn't eclipse several other low snow years in the next few weeks. Personally, I've never skied so much legitimate corn in LCC in a single season. Thanks for leaving the south facing untracked!

So much for putting them away, snowing like a MF'er and Interlodge called for Wildcat-Hellgate residents, might as well get some lift served turns in today, on my way. l

Has anyone skied willows or USA lately? Haven't even been up in BCC - wondering if I can take some folks up there tomorrow AM for some mellow turns.

Was up there last Sunday afternoon. A lot of brush and rocks showing, but there were some fun dust on crust, low angle lines in Willows that were filled in fine down to where the trees thicken and it flattens out. Not sure what another week did to the south faces, or what the dusting today could be hiding. You'll have to ski out the skin track trail, very thin down low.Has anyone skied willows or USA lately? Got out and skied Scotties at 5pm. Skintrack up near the top was slippery. Pow was holding up nice on everything facing north.

The Guard station is a good indication of the relationship between dirt and day time heating. More people should ski there.

Got out on Saturday morning. Skied a couple laps on the north side of superior, couple laps in cardiac, finished with a nw facing lap down Mineral. Snow is melting out on the trail down low. Creek walking.

Wasatch mags - this is a long shot but on Sunday I left my collapsible BD poles outside my car at the Grizzly Gulch lot then took off like a moran. When I got back yesterday they were gone. Hoping one of you picked them up. Thanks
I guess I haven't learned my lesson yet, I did the same thing with my mountain bike wheel last year.
