Doubt there'll be anything left. Dozen people there when I took off at 9am.
Bert skied awesome this morning. 16"+ (close to 24" in spots). Didn't hit bottom once coming down HHA. Heard reports the west side was just as good. Snow was a bit on the heavy side which I imagined helped keep the skis from hitting rock.
Pics/video later. Can't complain when going to work with an avy beacon on and getting high-fives from co-workers.

The parking lot was empty just before 7 and I had to get to work, so just headed in the direction of Mines #2 and made some fun little turns back down to my car. One and done kinda sucks but beats laying around in bed thinking about what it may have been like.
Hehe. Totally. Can't complain when going to work with an avy beacon on and getting high-fives from co-workers.

DEEP
We skied Hightail trees a few times. If you don't mind tapping your bases in between knee and thigh deep turns, DO IT!
Was skiing lightly to avoid carnage, but I was still getting faceshots. Should be plenty left for tomorrow. Git sum mags!

decided to start a new account when I got the idea for an awesome new name before I grew attached to the account that I've trolled around here with occasionally during periods of rehab and such.
So, let's kick this off with some pictures of Berthoud Pass from today
so all you kiddies can figure out whether you're skiing tomorrow.
This was like 3 pm on Wednesday the 26th
I think everyone up there would agree they were having a fucking awesome time.
Faceshot, coreshot, faceshot, coreshot, it's how it is...
Hung out with chill broski from the WP patrol, said he triggered two small slopes, but that some areas could already bury you pretty deep, New zeason haz begun!!!!!!!

^^^it really was this deep yesterday, had some photos to add, but had trouble uploading them, srry
Not sure what is go left today, but hopefully it will have settled some and started making a base that actually covers shit. If you have a rock-touring setup hit it up!
met WP patroller out there who said he kicked off two small slides on NW aspects on treed slopes above and around Hell's Half Acre.
Everybody stay safe and have fun, heading to Loveland for comparison today, new season has begun!

today was great! it's pretty chilly out there and the snow is staying nice n soft. I find it pretty funny how many people hit the plunge, didn't look like fun to me...

Hehe, I just saw this. Loveland Pass was the deepness yesterday and pretty much deserted. So perfectly sweet. Went to A Basin today, what a disappointment. Long lift line, skied off snow, and a ton of gapers sprawled across the hill, pretty much all on snowboards - just sayin.
And now back to your regularly scheduled Berthoud Pass programming.

Glad to hear it. I had to at least do an inspection run over there. What a sh!tshow. I'll climb tomorrow, prolly up on Loveland Pass again. Got a hankering to ski my spatulas for the reverse/reverse funtimes.
