A Freshie, and Two Repeats.
Every fall my bike turns into a time machine. The smell of crushed leaves transport me straight back to childhood. It's bittersweet.

Last of the fall colors at about 10,500. They're still bright and shiny lower down and the trail is coated with gold buttons.

Doctor's Park:

POV and a few other photos on my blog. I think we're about to end it with the incoming storm, though. I'm ready to ski anyway.

Just one quick shot from the San Diego backcountry:

Now that temps are cooling off for the year, most of our backcountry trails are now getting into their prime. Just need a dash of rain to pack down all the dust from summer. I love the onset of winter since it means ski season is right around the corner, but I also love it for the fact that the amount of riding in SD pretty much triples as the backcountry is no longer 90-100 degrees every day (we do live in a desert technically)."If I could have any K2 skis this year I'd go with the Volkl Gotamas." - Monique

From my Sunday morning ride, love the fall in the PNW
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hardboiled, Where do you normally ride on tam? Been trying to find good stuff up there. The fun stuff is not necessarily accessible.

define 'accessible'... just kidding. legal singletrack in the area is pretty much limited to coastal trail, middle green gulch and tenderfoot and you can put those together for a nice 15-20mi xc ride. I ride tam mostly at dusk or dawn...

Sweet thanks for the insight! I have done a few midnight rides that have been sweet. I Will need to try those out next time i'm visiting the Fam, haven't had a chance to do them yet.

Squeezing in a ride a couple hours before the snow comes. (Note to self: Invest in winter biking gloves):

Yeehaw! I just got a new bike about a month ago, and am getting back into it after about 8 years off (don't ask!).
I've been pushing a new Jamis Dakota d29 (neck snapping acceleration) hard tail and the aspens are turning and a few new unscheduled fall road trips are in the planning stages!

mtnbikerskierchick and I checked out Paonia a week ago. If you haven't, you should- they've got a cool scene in its infancy there. More pics and info HERE.
