What is the Republican equivalent of the term 'Limousine Liberals'?
I can't think of one at the moment.

Actually, there is no equivalent. The term "Limousine Liberal" infers a level of hypocracy. Conservative rich people have no such hypocracy.

I agree with DbT.
Calling some politician a Limousine Republican is like calling some politician a Immoral Democrat.

I don't see the hypocrisy in the term - I mean I know it's intended as a slur of course, but someone who upholds the social contract and is willing to pay their fair share of taxes and who happens to have enough cash left over to cruise around in a limousine is simply a wealthy person with liberal leanings. Where's the hypocrisy?
On the republican side, a "church-going conservative" or a "right-wing christian" are certainly hypocritical because they profess to believe in Christ and act on his teachings but they actually just want to stuff their pockets regardless of the cost to others. Hardly "christ-like", eh?

Why so mad and hating all the time?
George Bernard Shaw, as he left a socialist rally in London during the 30, was asked how he could advocate for the poor while at the same time driving a limousine. He replied by saying that he hoped one day all people could have chauffeured limousines.
I like this version better though, it's more updated.

Of course what the terms really means is a belief in the balance between individual ambition, and the public interest and good.

I was thinking more along the lines of all white, male, grey-haired types who do their politicking and wheeling and dealing behind closed doors via the old boy network and then proclaim to cherish free and open government. There's got to be a two or three word phrase for them?
