    ABS Carbon Unit

    Hey guys,
I have trouble with my airline carrying the ABS Carbon unit from Europe to the US. Any hint how I can transport it without getting busted. I heard some guys made it while others got busted.
    Thanks!

Whats so special with carbon unit? They should be carryable in hand luggage ,be it the steel, alu or carbon canister? They are marked with the standard imprints on the bottle.
Print the IATA sheet from ABS website, underline the necessary text ,have the bottle in the [u]original[/i] box,and it should be ok.

Story : the only place I have personally had a bigger hassle was actually Munich airport. The local fuckfaces were totally oblivious about the carry-on rules even when I showed the documents etc.
Ended up having a serious discussion with the "head of security" there, I demanded the chief of security to talk to and he said he was The Man and said I have to go out from the security check as he is not going to allow it to go through.
I went back to Lufthansa desk (my carrier) and explained the issue once again and their head of security came down and cleared everything.
We then went together through the security check in , where the lufhansa chief called the real head of security there for a discussion. The expression on the impostors face = Priceless.
After a 10 second discussion with them everything was nice and dandy.
But I couldnt help my self of asking the impostor that "what, you said to me that you are The Head of Security here???!"... Oh man what a chewig the guy got from his boss.. a proper earfull ,with
    a nice bavarian accent...

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

And you should rename the headline. The ABS Carbon Unit alone does not tell us much about your problem..

i 'believe' the carbon tank isnt DOT approved in the US yet, so that could cause some problems. I would bring the paperwork but empty the tank, much less hassle if it isnt pressurized, then fill it back up over here.
