...you could support the local bc industry and go to one of the local NW shops catering to our needs. little more $$$ but worth the patronage of great niche industry trying to succeed.

    Hey Bobby,

I do support those businesses as much as I can, but as a guy who has 5 skiers to outfit - three of them competitive/travelling and at least one of us support staff/sherpa along for the ride I have to do it as cheap as I can. Or we don't go. And that would suck balls. I'm just trying to help out my fellow dirtbags out there.

    luvies.

I hope we can meet and make some turns one of these days!

Interesting. Back in December I found Kinco 901's in the garden section at Fred Meyer, less than $20 if I remember right. I'm starting to think one of their buyers is a dirtbag skier. What's next, Swix wax in the paint section?

Telemetry from Green Valley at Crystal is INSANE. Upper mt. on wind-hold today. Winds dying down tomorrow. It's going to be deep enough to convince me to actually spend money and ride the lifts. See you there!

Crystal was definitely deep today, but not quite what I was expecting. The wind was coming more from the South than usual so a lot of aspects that often hold good snow were pretty wind-hammered. Still, what a day. Plenty of deep pow turns and face shots. Campbell Basin was practically deserted after noon and still holding lots of great snow.

tomorrow? What to do tomorrow? Looks like another storm coming in, this one's going to be warmer too. Storm skied near Alpental yesterday, rode lifts at Crystal today, would like to get back out in the BC tomorrow but with the weather coming in... Hmmmmm......

I had wanted to try and get up to Xtal today but work obligations came first. What time did HC finally open up? Looks like more wind in forecast, which has me wondering if I should cash in my chips Thursday instead of tomorrow. I guess I will check the telemetry Wed. morning and make a game time decision.

That'd be me, mang. Good seeing you guys with the ON3P crowd up there. Stevens definitely delivered today, and I'd like to hit it up again Thursday or Friday if anyone's interested.

schweitzer kicked me in the balls today. no mention of wind hold or anything on the report/snow phone till well after 9pm. roll into the village to no lifts spinning. no on on staff has a clue what's going on, just leading customers on to think a possible opening at 11 was in the works. huge waste of time and money. not even an apology for failing to update the report accurately. brutal way to spend a day off work. may call for another sick day tomorrow.

that aside, apparently Headwall slid? i guess that played a role in failing to open. the only place i can really fathom that occurring is near on that last steep pitch above the gulley at the bottom. pretty scary thought for a slide to be happening in that area.

This kid will be playing at Stevens on Friday. Thursday, if I can pump out reports for a lab and project, assuming UW gets it's power back in a reasonable time

I didn't go up today, saw the north bowl closed a little after 8am and figured it;d be a waste. tomorrow should be good on the wind loaded aspects.
Suprised headwall slid, I wonder if any thing on lakeside moved? It'll still be good in ch6 trees assuming they open it, wind will be way calmer tommorow.

Campbell was open all day. We went straight there and lapped it most of the day. Northway never opened, neither did the SB. Around noon the line on Campbell disappeared and it was ski-right-up, wash, rinse, repeat.

Going to be a storm day tomorrow - the next front's coming in warmer, snow levels going up to ~2500 - 4K in the afternoon according to NWAC, supposed to be pretty windy again too.

Thursday's going to be warmer still. Get it tomorrow if you can, good chance for rain in the passes Thursday.

I want to tour tomorrow, but not sure where to go. Not sure I want to go out if it's going to be like yesterday (zero vis and we had to break trail going in and coming out).

Just talked to my buddy. We're both sick of long drives, snow level looks like it's going to stay below the passes 'til tomorrow night/thursday morning so we're heading to Kendall Ridge/Trees. Should be safe and decent vis in the trees.

Definitely the most faceshots i've ever had in one day, and the majority of them came after noon! didn't get first chair but my last run was better than my first run! tomorrow should be sick! Too stoked on skiing to study for finals, but can't go skiing tomorrow because of finals

Fuck, I should have gone today. Barely ended up studying today anyway, too much fucking around and not being able to focus, and then a power outage.

Northway did open and the resort was sooo good. Follow where the wind was loading the slopes and it was waist deep!

Sooo, I'll be gaping it up on 179 black, no graphics Lhasas.Grey helmet, blue jacket, black pants, say hi as you fly by on the way to the good stuff!
