Nice! Unfortunately I've been sitting out since last Tuesday with two broken ribs.
For comparison purposes, a photo from a year ago (May 18th) taken from a point a bit to the South:
And the same image uncropped:
Snowpack looks slightly down this year but not by much. I guess 300+ inches at 5000 feet is nothing to complain about...

Any Snoqualmie locals touring tomorrow? Chris and I are thinking of heading up to Kendall Lakes with the dogs. Lazy start to miss traffic.
More pics from Sunday & Monday:
Chris skiing off the edge of the world

Heidi skiing by braille

Happiest dog on the mountain

Dicey making a blind turn

The next morning: Chris needs coffee, Dicey's had plenty, Heidi smiles in her sleep

There's a lot of snow up there

This is the weather we've been waiting for

Heidi in the fall line

Powderhound

Back up for another lap

The best kind of graffiti

Chris realizing that wind-lip we told him was just a little drop is actually about 10 feet to flat

Flapping your arms isn't going to help...

Unfortunately I wasn't in position to catch the carnage

The dogs still had enough energy for some dancing on the skin out

I'm guessing there's going to be an extended corn harvest this year

Couple of tired pups

So what's up with the Stevens' telemetry? NWAC is saying 14" for Stevens Hwy 2 and only 4" for the ski area. And winds haven't been super high...
Thinking about heading up tomorrow, but it's not worth it for only 4" new."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

Auv, I saw that telemetry too, and there's something weird going on, but c'mon... it'll clearly be worth it. Even just reading the total snow level shows 9" at the top of Daisy since 4 am.
Kev, roger that.that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...

Yeah, I know. I'm trying to make an excuse cuz I sprained my wrist on Saturday and I really shouldn't ski tomorrow...but I'm gonna.

Xtal was very good today. HC was really sweet, and so was Southback when it opened around 11ish. Just super nice snow with the cold temps. Low crowds and good vis. I love days like today. Best day of the season for me.
