I took some video below. One of the best days ever at Alpental and that is saying a lot.

    Fuck YES.

    1:05 on.
I don't get out that far very often. That looks amazing. Great snow, sun, and, of course, amazing terrain.

    Awesome.

Any chance my girlfriend and I could snag a ride up to baker with someone tomorrow? We're out here on vacation and it looks like the friends we've been staying with all have to work tomorrow. We're right off of interstate 5 at exit 253 and we'll gladly pay for gas and/or beer.

Recent rain formed a crust layer around 5,500 feet that acted as a trigger point for slides that ran on most aspects. The rain eventually turned to snow, lots of snow and with the added weight and stress to the slopes things started moving..

Anyone got a Cadcades River Road access update? Failed to call the ranger station today before they closed.

Mission has been great the last 4 days. Any wind board from Wednesday morning's storm is rapidly decomposing. Fast sugar today. Would have been a great weekend to show you around. Another race this weekend and crowded, but almost no one freeskiing.

i knew of race from buddy who's lightning quick kid is racing.
also thought the wind would be whipping hard there, was a force to be reckoned with here yesterday, not so much today.
looking forward to a visit east in the next few weeks add a little more sugar before we get there.
    enjoy the freeskiing

Couple shots from Mission today. Unfortunately Elisa got a really bad core shot. Fortunately the shop on the hill fixed it for five bucks. (and it was right next to her other one so she got a 2-fer).

^Right on. I've had bad luck finding places that won't gouge you for fixing your stuff up.

Of course, I've had worse luck fixing my own shit.

Catherine was pretty good. Variable pow over a mostly edgeable crust, though the usual route got skied/sluffed pretty thoroughly.

Saying NO is ALWAYS the correct response. Do not ever invite a police officer into your home or car. They are doing nothing but looking for reasons to fuck with you, because that's their job. But, they need your permission (or probable cause) to enter your vehicle. If they're asking, then they do not have probable cause. So, don't invite them in for an inspection.

You can never, ever make things worse by saying no. But, by consenting, you're giving them a million opportunities to find some other thing wrong. Don't give them permission to ransack your personal & private property. They don't give a fuck about your belongings, they'll fuck up your shit, and then they have a lot more opportunities to find or create evidence against you.
