I'm sure it's going to be nice, but those numbers might not mean what you think they mean.

Total precip gauge indicates about an inch of water in about 10hrs at or below freezing. Got pretty breezy up there for a spell.

I saw that, but I prefer to think of shredding some beat-down Vaccinium instead of creamy wind transport because I'm not going to be there for a couple weeks. Plus, I think it's funny that the snow gage is reading bushes.

The 0.99 total precip falling at 32 or below hopefully means exactly what I think , as RyanPeter81 alludes. Totally fair reaction given the silliness that sometimes occurs in big rain storms when the snow gauges get thrown off: "I know it says its 40 degrees at Alpental, but it says 15 inches of snow!"

Yeah, that snow squall was crazy. Dumped about an inch on 90 up by the casino. What a great sight. One of the earliest low land snowfalls I remember.

People are starting that preseason jitter dance, the lifts will spin with 18 inches and bases will be destroyed.
    Come and get it

Not gonna make it out today - too much work.

But maybe see some of you up on the Paradice/Muir manana for the minor break in the storm.

Think the road will be open early? Late? Not at all?

My guess is it will clear pretty easy, still being warm and no berms and such, but this is a solid storm.

did two laps at west today, first lap around noon was about 4-5 inches. after burgers beers and shots at the bar went up for another lap, at that point it was about top of the boot in all places, some places even more. felt great to ski again, even if it was at west

Hey kevino (or anyone else that might want to get a lap), I plan to come up Monday to bring up a few things and hopefully get a lap or 2, so I'd be down to tour then if you might be available. I'm wondering do we know each other? I'm in Goldner Adler.
