ULLRFEST 2011 PBR: Pig Beer Relief

The new east coast roll call is up, school is back in session, and the rains have started.

Must be time for ULLRFEST!!! This year its October 15-16 from noon to noon, in Vermont.

Starts off Saturday afternoon with live music from Finding Reason, then there will be roasted pig, grilled sausages, and whatever other food anyone can bring. Saturday night there's a bon fire, new ski films (on a twenty foot outdoor screen) and an occasional adult beverage. Come meet all the cool mags you've bickered with on the internets. You may be surprised to find they're actually very nice people. I'll do my best to make sure you have fun, and if history's any guide, you will.

Also, given the recent flooding, I am asking for a $20 donation, that will all go to the local Rochester Relief fund (in lieu of contributing to the pig roast). If you've already donated to any other fund, then you are free to come anyhow. And if you give a days labor volunteering, that counts, too. The good news is, you're also automatically entered in a raffle to win a spanking new pair of Super Bros (Which Splat of PM Gear provided at half price) or a new Antero jacket donated by MiCol of Freeride Systems.

Seriously, its a great way to meet many maggots, make new friends, eat some great food and have some fun.

Start your season off right... I hope to see you there and PM me for directions. BD

I've been tempted with Wellfleet Oysters or VT Pig that day. I'm 99% leaning towards PIG and VT. Would be my fourth year in VT. One of these years, it's going to be dry and not below freezing. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Who wants to drag my ass up from Boston? It's my birthday (33) weekend and I already told BD I was planning on making it this year. Someone hook a brotha up!!! Plus it will be a much needed party before my Monday jury duty.

EDIT - My schedule is free, so if you were going to lend a hand the day before and are passing through Boston I will be fine to go then too.
I think you have me confused with someone who is far less awesome.

I've been saying I'll come for a couple of years now and it hasn't happened yet... but I told the wife yesterday that I'm going so going I am! I'll bring a 5 gallon of homebrew'd IIPA, and Advres too if you're still lookin for a ride. I'll hit you up via PM in the next couple of days with deets once I figure out my timeframe.

EDIT... I've got some old Atomics that need to be sacrificed, I'll bring those along too!

Mrs. Weasel and I will be there, along with some hangers-on.

I've been saying that I'll attend for a while now, but I can't this year.

Weekend classes as a grad student and full time worker bee SUCK GIGANTIC FLOPPY DONKEY DICK. I have a final October 15 in a bullshit class, but I gotta be there to go through the motions.

But Mrs. Shred and I will be up to ski Magic at some point this year. We expect some quality tour-guiding.

Had a great time last year and met some cool people. I'll try to make it again, but I'm not totally sure I can pull it off. If you're on the fence about going, go!

I'm so in. Anyone from NJ/NYC let's get carpooling dialed in early!!! Too many of us heading up from that neck of the woods to waste gas on empty cars.

Anyone know if snow is in the forecast? Would love to start off Ullrfest the same way I did last year, LIKE THIS:

BD, I know you've always come through for us non pork eating people, yes we do exist. Looking forward to the bbq chicken again, last year's was really good!

I also think it's important to say this:

EVERYONE ON HERE IS AN OUTDOORS PERSON. PLEASE DO NOT RSVP YES THAT YOU ARE COMING AND THEN BAIL BECAUSE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER. BIGDADDY IS A GREAT HOST AND SHELLS OUT A LOT OF DOUGH TO MAKE SURE IT'S A SWEET EVENT. HE WANTS TO MAKE SURE HE HAS ENOUGH TO GO AROUND FOR EVERYONE. IF YOU SAY YOU'RE COMING, THEN COME! THE PAST TWO YEARS THE WEATHER HAS BEEN EH, BUT THE PARTY STILL HAPPENED AND BOTH YEARS HAVE BEEN GREAT. DON'T BAIL AFTER SAYING YOU'RE IN! IT'S NOT FAIR AND IT'S NOT RIGHT!

I'm in. Will have at least three, maybe four (three in the back seat though) available spots from Boston to VT in my car. Hopefully this year I don't have to go work 12 hours the following day. PM me if you want a ride.

I've got a broken DPS W105 to sacrifice to Ullr too.

I'll make sure the pilot is free that weekend and the G6 is all fueled up. I really miss this event. There is really nothing like Fall EC ski stoke.
