JGB and anyone else interested... I'm thinking about heading back to Killington this weekend for another dose of downhill biking. Based on the current forecast it seems like Sunday might be the better choice, but I'm flexible and I know a forecast isn't worth much this far out. Lemme know if you wanna tag along.

Would love to join you, but the Mrs jgb is heading out of town for the weekend on Friday AM so I've got Mr. Mom duty until Sunday afternoon. Was tossing around the idea of heading out to Mountain Creek with Gman for the day on Sat or Sun if I can get someone to watch the boy.
Have fun! Give me a heads up when you do your next trip. I think we're going to be up in Ludlow again next Fri-Tues for a long weekend of Timber Coasters & Alpine slides. I might be able to shake free for a half day of riding though....Going where the wind don't blow so strange
Maybe on some high cold mountain range

LD and Swede. Sorry to hear about the jobs. Went through this back in May. Lots of people told me that it would "work out for the best," which I thought was just some bs at the time, but I'm actually happier now than I was at my old job. Something will turn up, but in the meantime enjoy the surfing, biking, etc.

you know, a few weeks of squats and rollerblading and youd have an ass to match those shoulders and wouldnt have to blur it out in shame. id give you an example but my flickr account is expired and i dont have access to that folder.
with that said, i do have access to a few pics so...
mountainsmith sting 45
$100 shipped
2685 cu in extends to 3906 cu in
ski/snowboard carry, snowshoe/wet gear neoprene pocket (ive had 11 bottles in there chilling on ice. its waterproof and has a little drain gutter so the melted ice drains out the bottom $$$)
here you can also see the ice axe sleeves, trekking pole loops, expandable water bottle pockets and rubbered straps for ski carry.
this is about all the wear youll find on it. some rubbing from a short period of time when i had sharpened skis.
detachable lid for that sick summit push, with window for a map.
siver cartel brim skullie. worn twice by me and a bunch more by gear whore.
$15 shipped?
aigle daypack used once.
$60 shipped
opens wide like a french whore.
D-rings, bladder compatible, hip pockets
some no name (one below) shoulder bag thats put in work! one of the buckles is missing and the elastic is worn out but other than that bag is solid. the missing buckle isnt really needed unless you are running.
$15 shipped
thing opens pretty wide making it easy to stuff a ton of shit in. i like putting beezos in the side gussets.
secret stash pocket in the back to hide your crack.
"yeah, yeah. you buy playboy for the articles just like i watch brokeback mountain for the scenery... wait, that doesnt work."

more shit coming at ya.
gibbon 75ft slackline unused.
$80 shipped
sector 9 bambo longboard
$70 shipped
took me a long time to figure out what the graphic was. and once i did i went back to pretending it was fish skin.
kicktail makes it really maneuverable, ideal for the urban environs.
sweet addidas track suit jacket.
$10 shipped?
(sorry ML no hipsters looking for ironic accessories. strictly OG's kicking it old school)
mountainsmith modular hauler 3
$50 shipped
not the cheesy, soft bottom topless one. lid pocket is banging for maps and books. side pockets to stuff all that last minute shit you forgot to pack. rubber bottom means throw your ski boots, mtb clothes, swim trunks in it and keep your ride clean. ive only used it to store shit in my closet. fucking mint doggie.
burton zoom
$125 shipped
if you know this bag you know buck 25 is a steal.
peep this link for independent pics
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=853854
heres mine:
only bad thing about this pack is if you load it up with water, laptop, tripod, lenses, bodies, filters, food, clothing, goggles and every other thing that has a specially designed pocket you CANT CARRY IT FOR VERY LONG. I took it on a photo overnight in the 'skills and regret choosing such a long loop hike (~11 miles). but in retrospect there really was no reason for me to carry a laptop among other things..."yeah, yeah. you buy playboy for the articles just like i watch brokeback mountain for the scenery... wait, that doesnt work."

if you havent picked up on it by now i keep my gear in two states: clean (see: shit im selling) or destroyed (see: ski bases, hockey equipment, girls). so its a testament to analness that i have been using this next bag since i got it back in the late 90s. its why the zoom didnt get much use. you probably have never seen or heard of it unless you were gay in the 90s too.
50/50 camera bag
buncha stash pockets on the top and front
give you an idea how this boxy shape packs... look inside theres a PD170
and underneath it a Z1.
i dont even know what to charge for this beast when ive used it so much for so long and other than the shoulder padding starting to die the only wear is this:
entertaining offers."yeah, yeah. you buy playboy for the articles just like i watch brokeback mountain for the scenery... wait, that doesnt work."

Hot damn, the dog days of summer are here; finally turning the corner to the sacred season. Good to see everyone getting out and making the most of the "off" season! I should be moar MTB'ing now that I'm healed from all my major/minor injuries - need to get in shape for skiing, damnit!
Anyone have experience with Dalbello? I'm looking to get into the brand this winter - wondering what model works best for everyone who does the whole in/out of bounds thing. I know, Tech talk, but hey.

Qualifying for the deer hunt in town is this Saturday. Thought I'd put JMO jr. in the pack and fire off a few arrows. Looks like I may be raising a fan of bow hunting.
