Made it to VT and watching the radar... not looking too crazy right now. I hope this thing materializes, but I'm going skiing tomorrow at MRG no matter what. Only had two days in NE so far and one was in the rain and it was actually a great day, so you never know... stay positive.
Looking forward to maybe getting something decent!Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!

Hoping to see you there! F%$# the forecasts - it's going to be GREAT tomorrow (and it better be, since I have to drive South on Friday AM
).
You know how to find me (all together now) - "I'll be the best skier on the mountain!" (other than Weasel, his brother, my wife and most others).

Teacher? Start driving & call in sick if the snow day doesn't pan out. That's not a suggestion. Do it. Do it.
I *really* wish I didn't have to be in the office for a dog & pony show tomorrow. Some shitty fund comes begging for capital, we agree to fund them, now they want a presentation on our IT capabilities & security practices? Fucking BS! I mean what balls on their Geek Squad reject IT Director who has the nerve to question how we do shit? Tit's OK - I'll just make him look like a fool in front of his bosses by speaking about 3 levels over his head so he can ask a bunch of dumb questions and I'll then explain the same thing in a way that even a non technical person could understand. Boy, I can be a dick - but thats what you get for standing between me & a powder day. Dude fucked with the bull, so he's getting the horns.
Have fun getting after it tomorrow fellas!Going where the wind don't blow so strange
Maybe on some high cold mountain range

Squeezed one long hike/lap in with seqouishan today, really glad we did. Skied some nice untracked trees and finger chutes in the notch.

Lets see what kind of refresher we get. Prepared for rain, and will be grinning either way, its been an unreal stretch given the winter we have had.

For those stuck in the Northeast, follow my NE Rando Race Series and check out my avalanche course. (For other avalanche course providers anywhere, feel free to use any of my "homework" assignments for your own courses too.)

Choices. Not a bad thing to have. Either burn one of my groupons at Smuggs or ski somewhere in mrv. I'm flying solo. Anyone want to make some turns? And if anyone from the Boston area wants a ride North let me know.

Just made it home in time to help my brother do some moving... Hard to leave the great white north for a single track highway home.
Awesome time in the Vermont skiing two feet of blower. Killer two nights of camping with tBatt and co, and after slogging out today headed to Whiteface for a few runs. Was greeted at the top with a patroller checking beacons for slide access.... said "hold it right there I'll be right back" and ran did a nonstop run T2B on all that vertical they're always bragging about in their marketing shenanigans and headed back to the slides.
Whiteface doesn't have as big a grab as MTW, but the slides were pretty blown in from the other nights winds and 2-4. Plenty of places to put tracks into wind effected somewhat slabby very dense pow. Three laps there and I went back to put in a fourth and they shut the place down at 1:40, which is a complaint I've heard many times about WF fucking people over with access, like when they say they'll be open until 2pm.
Anyway, it was awesome to get soft turns up there at a resort. 4 days and my legs are aching.... for more!
But who was the mag on dynafit speeds and titans with the tele chick skinning up JBL today, with a DIE LIVING sticker on the car?.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

My life continues to suck. I just found out Friday that I'll be moving from Birmingham, AL to Columbus, Ohio. It is a long story how I'm ending up there, but the chances were pretty remote. I would have been willing to settle for Philadelphia since New England would be in striking distance. I guess I'll continue to spend a disproportionate amount of my income and vacation time to ski out west.

Leaving for Magic in a few.
Green and grey pattagonia jacket, white smith vairiant, white, or black prodigys, black patagonia pants, homemade skis with pink bases, not to be confused with Worth's, skull and pink crossbones top sheet, skull candy, but just a cord, as my volume control shit the bed, dalbello krypton pros with the pussy tongues, smart wool socks, patagonia black base layer bottoms, patagonia base layer top, one in red, and one in black, maybe bamboo poles, maybe smith z bends.
Ask for a ricola. Woot Woot!If you have a problem with macdadmorgan, you have a problem with yourself.

1 1/16" overnight, must have been a prolonged dryslot as we had around 3/4+" at 10:30 last night. Should get out this afternoon for some deeper skiing of fresh snow. Update/ now around 1 3/4" and snowing nicely, breezy.
Kinda disappointed in the weekend forcast, but it's nothing new, so oh well. At least we had a good run and the bottomless feeling has been refreshed in my head.i have been enjoying the pics and vids, thanks.
Friday night / Saturday forcast is crazy for wind, WTF.
Friday Night: Snow showers likely before 4am, then sleet, possibly mixed with rain showers. Low around 27. Strong and damaging winds, with a south wind 30 to 35 mph increasing to between 55 and 60 mph. Winds could gust as high as 85 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Saturday: Rain showers before 5pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. High near 41. Strong and damaging winds, with a southwest wind 60 to 65 mph decreasing to between 30 and 35 mph. Winds could gust as high as 95 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible
RIP Davy, I loved this show when I was a kid.
