Unkajunebug - let us now how Hunter is. Pretty amazing that they just started making snow on Thursday morning and they'll be T2B tomorrow. I'm going to head up this Thursday if anyone wants to go. They should have a bunch open by then, and the week after all of West.

As far as Plattekill goes, it'd be awesome to have some help next time but enjoy the glades this winter. I don't care about sharing there, the snow sits around all week and you can't track out the place on a powder day as it is. I'd still head there if they sold twice as many tickets, I doubt it would change the conditions much on a pow day.

We might have to trade a few stashes though! Do you have a pass there?

Edit to add: Big Daddy with the Jesus and Mary Chain TOP! Nice and unexpected!!!!
Hunter was worth $28 today but not much more. Boilerplate and weave and bob on 1 trail. We were broke down on the mid station lift for 45 minutes, luckly we were well prepared. Was amazed at how much better the afternoon session was. They can make it like no one else. Became T2b, cleared out (if you will) and found some under the gun fun. They are definitely making moves so should be better tomorrow and beyond. Whatever, just glad to spend the day with friends.
No, i dont have a pass at Platty, but am there every weekend. My wife sells coupon books as a fundrasier for her safety patrolers(not as safe as us), and there are b1g1f for Platty and Windham. So basically i take advantage of her good doing and apply it towards my pleasure selling hard to family and snaking that page. Doesnt matter though, would happily pay $58 to support the place and not have to deal with resort bullshit. Glad the place is getting the respect it deserves here and applaud your efforts.
Here's to a week of cold temps and force fed H2O (love you too mutha nature).

TC - Nice pics, sorry we didn't catch up yesterday. We didn't there until 2:30 and by the time we grabbed our passes and geared up it was 3:00 so we opted for a few less than fulfilling lift runs to dust of the cobwebs and get our legs under us.

There's a slim chance I make it up this afternoon with the dog for a few more meaningful runs.

I think we're still working off the sugar rampage from that party. I hope your boy made that wish for winter to finally arrive. If it doesn't come soon I'm gonna need ALOT more help.

    BACKLASH FTW

glad u liked the backlash^^^^^^^^^my one ski for all quiver. slices and dices anything in it's path and in pow? well what ski isn't good in pow? 129-92-115 of ass kicking versatilty

tc- very good question on thawing. i think since it's in jan pretty much every year cept for 94' (fuck 94' was sick at the riv with like 9 feet of snowfall, cold as a sumbitch and no thaw) and maybe 11'. that dino party looks kickass btw!

seq, ya sorry to bring the deb downer forecast link. things can only improve.

had a most excellent ride on perfectly frozen singletrack in the stratham alps this morning. just me and a buddy ducking, bopping, and weaving our way around on the grippiest conditions imaginable. lots of climbing. he on a fairly light 120mm orbea full sussy, me on my full rigid indy ti 29er single. he wasn't amused, hehe maxxis ignitors are the ruler, still!

maybe new binders on the backlashes tomorrow for some maybe groomers next week at loon

keep the stoke (of any kind) coming folks!!!

no doubt. everyone need's to chill. i've been on the hill once so far. the race ski's we so diligently prepped all fall, go out one day and come back fucking trashed. why kid's from connecticut feel the need to not ski their 'slip ski's' is beyond me. is there something in the water down there that breed's stoopidness

I've got a pair of 181s, super minty, practically brand new 15 days on them drilled once for jesters at a 315 bsl. Trying to get $300 shipped for the skis if you're interested.

A few runs on the fat skis yesterday, then a few runs on the skinny skis. Those slalom skis will get your legs in shape QUICK. All this skiing is getting me in shape for biking ... good, quick ride at the SMBA trails with Radam today. And I was barely out of breath!
