The *almost* final word on plattekill is that lazlo wants to run the lifts, but it's going to depend on how much snow falls and more importantly...whether or not they have power. A bunch of us will hopefully be there around 9 to start hiking, skinning or riding up.

Unfortunately all my gear is still in Philly and I am in NYC so I will have to wait and see if my buds from philly are willing to risk the ride up. I already questioned their manhood, I'm not sure what else to do. Look for a ridiculously tall snowboarder, if there I'll be on skis waiting for him at the lift.

My plans for this eve got washed out cause of this storm. I guess Ullr didn't want me to go out and look at some T & A. I guess he wants us to make some turns. Im down for Platty, just pulled the rock skis out. Whos goin to get some from the NYC area?

My name is Jon and I'm stuck in Central Europe over the weekend for family business. I am really depressed about missing this storm and I'd really appreciate any pictures of Tri-state / VT/NH/ME turns, accumulations, downed trees and power lines, closed road blockades, storm-related MVA's -- anything to remind me of what I'm missing. In return I can snap you a couple camera phone pics of the Alps over Haus's shoulders via Lufthansa on Monday. Thank you for you help.

Started snowing here about an hour ago. Whopping 3/8" so far. This fell on leaves as the low snow from the other day melted. I hope all enjoy the southern bounty.

news just reported that parts of the berkshires could get 30+, NOAA observations seem to support this based on what's already on the ground as of 9pm.
