Got back from VT last nite, came home a day earlier due to weather and the wife touring thru too many homes that had cats in it (deathly allergic and asthma).
In the 1st world problems category:
1.The efficiency we got at Mountainside Resort got progressively moldier and mildewier smelling coupled with close to a 40 yard hike uphill/steps to get to the room.
(Think wife and luggage)
2. The attorney I thought I was going to retain calls me this AM and tells me he repped the sellers of the house we are gonna bid on when they bought the house in 07 setting up a possible conflict.
3. My wiener schnitzel is so much better than the Trappe Lodge's.
Stars were not aligned to stop in on Wednesday, TC, we finished up by 1:30 touring properties and Mrs. Moeghoul's chest was tightening up from cat exposure so we had to get back to the mildewy room for some albuterol treatment.
Had a few picture perfect weather days, took a gondy ride at Stowe and lunched at the top enjoying the views and seeing the foliage colors starting to pop.
A few random iphone pix from the trip.
Silent....but shredly.

Laser-Congrats on the course and welcome to the fun of business ownership. I wonder every weekend why that drive isn't plowed all winter long and the bar at that place hopping?!
Skating is a great idea-do you have a sledding hill area too? Free sledding, but hot choc, dogs, burgers, drinks, etc. Get the community connected to you.
And since it's my thing-please don't mind me saying tweaking up the branding and adding a new sign out front that represents what your business is TODAY (not 20 years ago) would help a lot. That place does not look (from the outside) like it has changed in 10 years.
A low cost effective promo-we print a lot of those yard signs you see all over town for events and such. They're cheap, and work really well. You could also put a series of signs with diff messages along your Hoosick St frontage (bar open) (football) (Darts) etc and change them up weekly. At under $20 each at most sign shops they cant be beat for price and effectiveness.
You see how busy Man of Kent is on Friday and Sunday night? I want you to be that busy! Brand that restaurant/bar up separately from the course-change up the sign out front to indicate that! If they are at MOK, they passed you! Get to work, son! You can serve food and drinks any day-even in the rain and snow!
This winter Add xmas lights on the hedges out front, and ribbons and wreaths. Make the place look alive this winter.
Sorry for the ramble-I'm doin 3 things at once—but anyone that takes a risk like you and your family has deserves a reward, and anything I can offer up to help I will.
See you at MAgic

Speaking of biking, here's a quick time lapse of some recent trail work in the MRV.
Just got a new dirt sled too, a demo Scott Genius LT20. It's a total game-changer. With a couple of clicks, the bike goes from a full 7"x7" freeride ripper with dropped seat to a 3.5"x3.5" xc climbing machine with full extension pedalling, all in a 31 pound package.
The colors are kicking in ... come ride!

I don't get it, but does this mean that you're getting the Bush pass this year?
Also, the NY Ski blog posted an interview with the MRA director formerly known as enlosandes. It's an interesting/entertaining read, and hilarity ensues.
http://www.nyskiblog.com/2011/09/jam...in-riders.html
If the MRA is three dudes, what does it say about the other two that they made this guy the spokesman?.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

Pimping Killington doesn't work for me, but maybe it works for someone else.

(xpost from NYSB)
Completely forgot about this video until now. Back in 2006 some buddies and I tore up the sand pits behind my house. Watch until the end for some carnage.
