Just bought my Magic pass, but I'll be putting in trail work days at Hickory to get vouchers for ski days there. If anyone is interested being part of the trail work crew on Sat, Sept 17 from 8am - 1pm, let me know. It's a great way to get familiar with the terrain, hang with the faithful, and get a ski day in return for a great day on the mountain. Brews on the deck afterward of course.

I am looking forward to da show tonight, should be in Essex around 4-5 . My pal Chris is setting up his pizza oven at the car dealership across the street. I am stopping there for free dinner and would meet anyone here.

This damn video got me looking all over youtube for more. totally sidetracked my browsing of an important roll call.

FamousInternetSkiers.com is a website I run with a few close friends. Check it out. I'm quite proud of the trip reports and weather forecasts (EC tilted, but not EC specific) up there. There's a lof of content on it dating back a few years. Let me know if you want a "Greatest Hits" list. I'd be happy to provide it.

I would COMPLETELY be in, but I think I have to work/I'm driving up to Canton afterward. And I'm bringing a ladyfriend who probably wouldn't be down for some clearing. If I don't have to guide, I'll work something out with her.

Are you planning on any other clearing days before the season?

I would love to get in on some Hickory action.

PM sent with details. There will be more days coming up if you miss this one. No restrictions on participation but the work crew leader does need a heads up in advance so that we can have enough cutters, chain saws, etc. Last Sunday 4 of us got the lower headwall on Winfall done and the area around the base of Poma 2. That particular section is treacherous: steep, lots of rocks, holes, previously cut saplings and brush. Was a good test to see how my sprained ankle has healed up and stabilized.

They aren't lenticular clouds. At least the one that has a sine function shape to it isn't.

I'm fascinated with this cloud because it looks like a streamer test in a wind tunnel. At the time this was taken the wind was out of the west/sw and you can clearly see it rise of the west face of mansfield, condense into a cloud and drop back on the other side while staying an equal height above manny.

Oh as for FIS....yea...it's a website that features a lot of donkey shows, snuff films and guy-on-guy cosplay. Why do you think there is so much traffic from the Roll-Call thread?

Phish flood show was Phantastic, ran into a bunch of mags and some friends I had not seen in years. The usual lot show was interesting also, saw everything from a cat on a leash>police bust in progress>mushrooms being weighed out on a postal scale>goo balls>industrial gas vendor moving quickly to stay ahead of the po po.
Fishman appears to be morphing into Mrs. Doubtfire these days.

Highlight of the show for me was a tasty Ya Mar.
