exactly 1 year ago today there was really great high elevation skiing was up for grabs... looking back at previous seasons has really made me realize how "dry" this fall has been for skiing... hopefully, as Josh has been wishing, it's all of a sudden going to change and be winter... and we're not "spending our cold" on wasted early season snows...

^^ That's really a beautiful pic, G. Although I haven't spent too much time around the northern part if it, I've always thought that the Monroe Skyline is one of the most beautiful places in the NE.

In other news, we're sitting pretty here in the banana belt of VT at 63° (and rising). Did I miss something? Is this really Nov9?

    1:30 edit: up to 66°...

I can use those too if you don't want them. Ski-off would have been cool, I think this way more people can enjoy them & try to trash them. I have yet to break a pair.

They're yours. I'll bring them on opening day - if you need them earlier than that, let me know.

FYI......there will be no trashing of 190cm 1st gen Volkl Exposivs......

If anything, sell them on ebay for $300 and donate that money to magic.

That's brilliant thing to do with an all time classic ski that's hard to find in good condition.

Not intentional trashing, just skiing hard trashing. I want to see them get used. They're lonely in my closet. I still have several pair of 180's too. I've hit rocks so hard my knees have buckled, skis were fine. Magic house ski. Maybe we'll throw em' on the Red Chair shack when they're toast.. nuefox47, anytime.

At first thought you were referring to gp's photo and the natural features! Hahaha! Shows where my thoughts are - in the padded room. Boys will be boys. Great pics and stoke. Snow will come. Chomping at the bit though like the rest of you. This weather is awesome - possibly some climbing this weekend. Enjoy.

Who can ski Black Line on 190 Explosivs while making the fewest turns? I'm calling 15 turns! On Christmas day, Bitches!

^^^ That is actually possible I think as long as you don't waste any turns way up high. You would be carrying some ridiculous speed over ledges but as long as you don't freak and know that the groomed oasis of Hoky Poky is coming you are good to go.

ps., whoever attempts this please don't say I had any input if patrol needs calling.
