Sorry for the tipping, the bike just wanted to get sideways. Burke has been a ton of fun this summer.
Greg, nice lightning stoke. I have to get set up one of these stormy evenings and take some shots.

Meh, we'll see about that one...
And yes, please please please let it rain! Things are getting disturbingly low, and it would be a nice break from this too hot (at least the ye old upper valley) wx pattern we've had for too long. The rivers are too warm and too low for any real fishing around here. Just wish I had a boat to get into some more warm water action.
On the plus, wx pattern looking forwards at least has the potential for some rain (in the form of tstorms), which is better than what we've been dealing with.

Sorry to go off-base here, but Chick-Fil-A is doing some crazy shit slandering the Muppets. It's seriously uncool, and it makes me want to support the Kale guy even more. I will never eat that shit again. Maybe the Jim Henson company can donate toys to people who buy salad.

A little climbing stoke:
We ditched working in lab last Friday and went out to Crow Hill in Leominster, MA. The day was absolutely perfect for climbing. I started climbing maybe 2 months ago, but it has quickly become an obsession, though not quite like skiing. I got my first two 5.11a routes last night at MetroRock in Everett. Can't wait for another day outside!

Glad the lightening pic is getting some stoke up. Electrical storms are awesome. If anyone wants any tech tips on shooting them, I've learned a few over the years. You actually don't need a tripod which is nice, and there's a good app for iphones for shooting them. just have to know how to game it...
sick looking climb... JEEZ DOOD! stepping right up. sick. I'm lucky to get dragged up 5.10 and i've been at it for years.

Aaah Crow Hill. I went out there a lot back in the 90's when living in MA. Stout ratings there for sure. A 5.11a there is certainly all of that and then some. Well done.
My first time there I went bouldering but always hated that and soon found myself soloing some easy routes. Ended up on what I thought was some 5.6 and the hardest fucking 5.6 I had ever soloed! Gribbed at the crux for 45 minutes - climbed up to it more than a dozen times and back off it to the rest. It was a series of 3-4 slabbing moves 50 feet off the deck and I never felt the love to pull thru it. Falling there would not have ended well. All that work and some dude finally calls out to me and asks if I am ok and if I know what I am on? Turns out I am on a hard 5.8 - oops. Getting down took a while too. The guy turns out to be the best rock/ice partner I have ever had and a live long friend. AA miss ya bro! That place will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane. Small but stout. Climbing there will get you strong for anything in the rock world.
Summer . . . Enjoying the stoke all. Keep it up.The Passion is in the Risk

The Thunderstorms were pretty intense the other day with crazy almost constant lightning as recorded by Mr. Petrics. I got in just as it started thankfully misssing the hailstorm.

Buttah, my buddy makes some wicked butter with vape scraps and what is save from the bottom of the grinder. I guess I'm old school and prefer greenery. The vape scraps work well and I can knock them. I got a recipe I haven't tried. You put the butter, and greenery in a pot of water boil it for like an hr. then let it cool and stick in the fridge. How long in the crock pot?

i went with the butter, water and vape scraps in the crock pot set at low/warm covered for 24 hrs!
i'm just about to strain it through cheese cloth and and mesh. going to put it in the fridge overnight and let the butter rise to the top.

Saw this at Fenway last night. Was a good game as US team (and A.S. Roma) member Michael Bradley scored the first goal... go USA!

fwiw... had a nightmare last night about two SERIOUS tornadoes and noticed there are tornado warnings for today in western Mass/CT. (Probably not going to happen, but keep your heads up DoWork, MMP and all bros to the west!)Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!

Thanks! I'm ready for the worst should it happen. The bug out bag is ready to go and the tank is always full in anticipation of heavy weather after last time
Also, quite a few nice ski lines have opened up where the tornado went through in some places. It feels wierd to sayor to even see but after they cleaned out all the deadfall and brush, the shit looks like a glade or something. I'm definitely touring through peoples' yards once we get enough snow, seriously some switch to the road stuff. Some of these lines will definitely surprise you guys. Jesus I can't wait for snow. Is it time yet???
Buttah, see ya Friday! Also that reminds me- Jerry's bday is Wednesday, anybody gonna go see the showing of the Greatful Dead movie? Nice pics VTF. I haven't seen a good hail storm in years. I remember (this is spoken in old man voice) one that covered everything in inches of hail, it looked like winter in May. So cool.
Anyway, nice knowing you guys. I was about to go for a ride and I'm not sure I'll make it back:

Word, I'll have to give it a try this weekend. There is no way anything can burn either. I heard you can just put it in the fridge and the greenery sinks to the bottom while the butter floats? Keep us posted on how kickin it is. I may make some treats for my swine roast next week.
Speaking of I'm throwing out the invite to any in the area or if some want to travel. Next sat aug 4 I'm throwing a lil pig roast all are welcome. Pm me for details if you interested.
