LOL... But seriously. Her Hair. It's just so lustrous and full of body! I heard Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell fought to the death for the rights to a lock of it once.
I laugh so hard at the vast majority of Rog's posts, but sometimes it seriously makes me facepalm so hard I bitchslap myself."If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise." -Robert Fritz

Thank you for that mention. I've really been getting into the DH world cup this year, but totally forgot about the windham race. Think that would be a blast to be at, gonna keep that weekend free in the hopes of attending.
Edit: Also, glad to hear teh phish was killing it, attending the saturday SPAC show in about a month.

Dr Dog! It'd be awesome to see that show. Hopefully TR has a good event that will keep the sleds topped off all winter.
Went for a little 40 mile ride after dropping off my buddies truck upstate. Here's Gasoline Alley in the Bronx on my way home. That's the Harlem River and GW in the distance, and some train depot. I needed a break after dodging rush hour traffic for a while.

The freaking green lanes were all designed by bloomberg's grandson doing his best impression of sim city. I swear some of them just go for a few blocks before disappearing without a trace of intention. The rails to trails in westchester is spot on, and when you enter van cortlandt park it goes to a double wide dirt track. That was cool, but I got nervous when it turned into single track, but the views were cool.

After passing a long abandoned train station, I was on half track with tons of obstacles. Trail was fin. After climbing over another down tree, I caught what looked like a bunch of dudes enjoying themselves anonymously in the woods. I saw a little path bolting towards civilization through a ton of poison ivy but said fuck it, picked up my bike, then ducked under a fence, and was never so glad to be back in the city. Sticking to the roads from now on!.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

nothing wrong with a lil buildup.
still haven't received pics yet.
nice ride in n-con yeterday. 1500 vert/45 minute climb up dirt road/singletrack right from the car followed by a glorious 1500 vert 100% singletrack descent, followed immediately by a different 1500 vert/45 minute climb up pavement/singletrack to another different 1500 vert singletrack descent and to the car. 3000 vert o climbing in less than 12 miles with no where else in new england like descents=priceless. the rigid singlespeed was perfect, as always. just roll it over, point and shoot.
soooo much good riding in n-con. after the ride, my riding buddy and i grabbed some nice cheap $1.29 24oz road sodas for the drive home. per her request, we will be doing n-con mtb mondays starting in 2 weeks if anyone's interested. nice to find girlz that like to suffer
we will also be repeating the 60 mile "tour de valley", a ton of the areas best singletrack linked together on both sides of n-con then all of the way over to the kanc, up to bear notch on singletrack, then more in rob brook, up over bear notch down dirt to 302, and a cool down road spin with some trail option back to n-con. it's a great ride we do in about 8 hours +-. 1st climb is usually up redtail
.
we'll stash food/water at bear notch.
dates/details as we get closer

Tis the MTA 207th street train maintenance yard. Used to row by that every morning. Two stories. 1) The used to load empty rail cars that were no longer in use onto barges that would be taken out to the L.I. sound and dumped as reefs. Well the construction workers in charge of this would actually write the coordinates of the new car-reef on the side of the car. Thing was - those didn't match what the website for the program said. Turns out that the mta workers were building their own reef so that nobody skunked their fishing grounds. 2) They rebuilt that retaining wall and the construction barge docked along side it. In the morning the construction dudes - for their morning glory - set up a 1/2 port-a-potty- and screened it off from the barge with plywood. It was open to the water...seems like they wanted a view. Too bad we had to row by Joey, Nicky, little anthony, tony, feddie, and Rog, pants around their ankles, NY post in hand, working through last nights sausage and broccoli rabe.

Great stuff mad pat.
LH - thanks for adding the color to that view. I miss the redbirds, rail fans are a odd bunch but those trains had some real character. If I ever learn to scuba, checking out the reefs would be a destination at the top of the list......I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record
