the GF seems excited about some MTW hiking suddenly declared she wants a splitboard the other morning.. i might be getting in over my head here. definitely don't want to take the tantrum trail, but maybe it's a necessary schuss to access the legendary babe glade

Had a great time in Rumney the past few days. It's a nice part of the state I hadn't spent much time in. Good folks, lots of Canadien dirtbags too, so it felt like the Gaspe. Actually, it was so hippied out it barely felt like I crossed the Connecticut into New Hampshire. Would have loved a day on George but it was just too rugged on Tuesday to think about it. Just hiking I got fucking pasted in the 40 degree hurricane. Must have been some good snow up high though.
Next week I'll be skiing, riding, or climbing somewhere. Hope I win the lottery to pay for all these new toys and gas. Unless I can sell some artisan compost out of my apartment I'd say I'm in some pretty deep shit.
Pics to come, but no chicks so who cares.
edit to add: goddamn you rudeness and TC! That looked wicked AWESOME!
also: does anyone else have ads for Ukrainian ladies over there --> Guess I shouldn't have said anything about pics of chicks.... That Tatyana looks really good for 41, way better than the bunch of crop dusters I was just in the van with for six hours. Anyway............I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

Plans to hike Jay today canceled, due to workload and greybird not feelin it... so I made a TR last night instead w/ some pics from Big Sunday: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...-GoHO-Photo-TR.
Would love to make more turns on MW, but that 15hr+ round trip is a doozy...

loving this rain. grooming ensues up high. keeps the waves cleaner even with the easterlies all day sickness. surfed a quiet cove over a rock reef this am with a few other familiar faces. twas fun to compare notes on our winter tropical surf trips. all agreed on how amazing our very short nh coastline is compared to far away destinations on a whole. all agreed that 80+ degree ocean water doesn't suck tho.
hadn't surfed in like 6 days. way too long to be outta the water. way too long.
check this out:
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 65.
fuck yeah. who's in?
hi

In. Hopefully both days but will need to get the pass for Sunday. Schmoozing begins tonight. Probably surprise her with flowers. Maybe dinner date? The honey do list will be done early this week for sure. No excuses. Damn love that terrain this time of year. Get after it before it is gone.

love how this thread keeps going and even seems to pick up steam when the skiing options dwindle.
MAYBE Jay tomorrow if the wx looks clear.. Gas is a killer but I save almost $30 filling up in VT, and since it takes about $40 in gas (VT price) to get there n back. I'm almost MAKING MONEY (help me convince myself here guys)

the enorphine boost and general good-spirits you will get from skinning up and skiing down the mountain will add one day to your life (at least) and life is valued at about $100/day in the western world, so you're actually making $90 by driving down there when you subtract the 10 cost of gas!!

wow cover looks surprisingly intact after this wet week...hmm. long slog of about 50 ft of vert on the dirt road to bottom of jet v. worlds of pain along the length of the cog...
gotta say that in this thread of friends present and future, all you do is react to one person's posts.
unrequited man-crush?
jilted in attempt at friend-making?
if you were a real-man arse-whole, you'd go after everyone on this board directly. your posts are merely weak and bitter (and WAY too predictable). mix it up, bro
now THAT would be stoke

hmmm. rog's high school algebra teacher??
a former life coach who got fired after failing to corral our erstwhile surfer/skier dude into a life of office drudgery?
pot calling kettle black?
nothing more regressive than hiding behind an (albeit visually interesting) avatar in a community of folks who generally seek one another out on the slopes, the single tracks and elsewhere, really!
have fun!

This or rog snaked his gf, possibly both
.
VTCS, TC, et al. - I'm working towards being able to escape tomorrow morning for the much discussed trip north (TC, did you go today?) but the forecast looks iffy at best...planning on the trip for now and will do the early morning evaluation of the skies and adjust (ie. bail) accordingly.

Get a life troll, do you really have nothing better to be doing than trolling a ski forum of friends at mid day on a thursday in early may at the end of one of the worst ski seasons on record? Sounds pretty pathetic to me.

I'm out tomorrow, Daddy day care on Fridays and Mondays, i.e I work from home and get 2hrs of work done during nap time... wish my mother in law was in town, especially on Monday ::gasp:: can't believe I said that! P.O.W is a man/woman of mystery, methinks rog stole his/her woman? I agree on the avatar, don't feed the trolls tho right>?

VTCS- Careful what you wish for, we just starting looking into building an addition for the mother-in-law to move up here from VA. I really like my mother-in-law but have mixed feelings about being that closely connected.
On the bright side, maybe she can bb sit for you next season if it ends up becoming reality, Friday and Monday country club days galore!
