TC....who's on the Never Summer Heratige? Such a sweet stick..picked one up this season and I'm floored how much better of a board it is then 80% of the offerings.

I wish an East Coast company would make a VT splitter...cough worth...cough cough worth cough.

Saw Van Halen last night... 07-08 tour was much better if anyone is considering seeing them. Still a great time and the entire place was rocking.

The pic are sweet from all happy we finally go the goods. I however am sitting here with a broken collar bone now with a cool 5 screws and a plate....fuck my luck.

Enjoy all....way to get it done

New skis just arrived today. Need a Dynafit Radical FT mount onto my Wailer 105s ASAP. Id like to get these out on the snow one day before I take them on a ski trip next week. Can anyone help me out with a mount today or tomorrow? Im in Providence but am either heading up to Magic or Mt Mansfield tomorrow so can meet up anywhere between here and there and buy you some beer/whisky for your trouble.

I agree with this 100%! Went yesterday for my first time and it was freakin awesome. The snow, the terrain, good people, the lift is slow enough to recouperate/safety meet, love the place already. I almost walked into the lodge and asked where dowork was but though being a jong still made me think twice about it lol. Maybe next time, we still found some good stuff, but would be nice to get a little tour. So good out there though, faceshots for days. I got some gopro footy, now I need to see how it turned out. The drive in was awesome too, I forget the name but something hill road (maybe derby) off 30 was almost a rally stage, complete with cars off in the ditch. Edit: Does magic have heady topper for sale at the bar? Gonna be pissed if I missed tdrinking one to end a pretty much perfect day.

Hey nico_neko, if you had gone yesterday I would have met up, my buddy I went with was spent after lunch so I only made it til about 2, would of been great to have someone to stick it out to last chair with.

Can't wait to get back to Magic! I'd love to hit the black and lines with a little more snow. I'm also gonna be at Stowe Monday and Tuesday if anyone will be around, never been before and would love to explore the sidecountry but I'm sure the family won't venture off the trails so it would be the perfect excuse to get away, well if conditions are still good after this possible NFP event tomorrow at least.

Double edit: Forgot I had a pic too.

Sorry to spam it up, but Hickory is opening on Saturday. Lower mountain is groomed out. Ridge Run off the top will be open too and all other trails will be assessed by patrol. No cafeteria service so BYO everything.

Made it up to Jay with Kingdom-Tele yesterday. Stayed inbounds for the first 2/3rds of the day as it was dumping snow with soft conditions nearly everywhere. Even Northwest Passage was "in".

Then we headed out to find some pure virginity and plundered

Pole in the snow up to my elbow (and still not at the bottom!)

    the incredible lightness of being......

    no, not dynafit.

it's amazing what one storm can do to bring us from zero to hero overnight. with 6-8 inches of heavy wet yesterday and an additional 6 or so of colder lighter density on top, today far exceeded my expectations for what would ski possible.

started out the morning with some trail breaking/packing from the lot to get out to the jewell. after a few go-overs to set it right, i headed out back to see how the glades and the sliver would ski. up a coupla hundred vert on the nnn skinnies to the top of gods country, choked up on the poles and banged out 30-40 parallels down the fall line through the trees in beautiful spongecake pow on a supportive base. repeat this a few times with a run at the sliver which skied delightfully then toured up over to stratham hill and down the hiking trail which was gripping to say the least, but really fun with continuous turns to the lot. the conditions really don't get much better and even though we've had like 1/10th the amount of snow as last year down here, today skied better than any i can remeber last year. i ran into a really nice older couple on the skinnies and it was fun to chat it up for a bit with them and i think i've earned two new customers at the store, always nice.

there's just something about being on the light gear with the heel always free and no skinz ever needed. you just never have to stop, ever. kick here, glide there, duck here, weave there, two step here, tango there, up, down, all round. flow. love it.

and one helluva workout too, i'm beat

sorry no pics, just some thoughts and feelings.

    great stoke y'all!

the rain saturday will be NOTHING compared to the heat wave that's to come in less than a week that will last for more than a week. get it now and be glad you got it.

I lurk more than anything over here, but huge thanks to DoWork for showing me a proper time at Magic yesterday.

Skied hard and tried to keep up as best as possible. While the woods aren't in prime shape, the trails are skiing like playgrounds. Here's a quick clip of Green Line around 11.

Damn good feeling to roll out of bed this morning and feeling like I had gotten my back bashed in by a baseball bat.

What a week! Rarely crossed a track and spent a ton of time deep within the whiteroom. Today was no exeption. TC and HA may have some stoke to share. My zone of choice has blown up this season but the veteran knowledge always trumps the new comers. Only one line that got away, that won't happen again.

That would be me on the Never Summer and its the best board I've ever had or been on. 3rd season on it and I get my fair share of days in every season. Only thing I ride anymore besides my split. It rules in all conditons, and have taken it down some pretty rowdy shit. I keep telling TC Praxis needs to come up with a press for some splits.. Sucks about your collar bone, heal up!

I haven't mired that deep at Jay since 2001

Note, I'm 6'4" and standing upright in a tree well in this picture. I was bracing my feet against the trees to keep from sinking deeper.

nice work all!! awesome to see red running with snow underneath it.

Ak- glad you nailed some sweet turf.

FromNek- I heard some deep touring was being had up there from friends, glad you guys got some and captured it for here.

Been an extraordinary week here as well. Lots of good turns with HA and Seqioushan, we always seem to stay one step ahead of the crowds with the untracked, veteran knowledge indeed.

this morning was no exception, love this line so glad we got it so fat. Far exceeded my expectations again, but the bar has been low this year. Iphone shot for now, more later after work.

After three days of skiing mostly firm (but fun) snow in NH, I skied Jay today and found some leftovers. It was pretty crowded and was obviously very busy yesterday, given the state of the woods. All the well known spots were very tracked up. Found a "new to me" stash with knee deep untracked.

Did a lot of exploring in low angle woods due to burned out legs (FWP, I know). Fat rockered skis make low angle trees a lot of fun.

Something not so low angle that KT and NEK missed yesterday, thanks for leaving it untouched:

I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

    Skin track up

No action shots until I get the shots from my friend who has to work this afternoon. Here is what we were in. Pretty much knee deep but went balls deep during a change over. Lots of untracked lines. East facing slopes had a bit of a wind blown crust but certainly very skiable. Happy to report a successful day of first time touring with the updated F12's, they performed well.

It looks like the rumors of this winters demise have been greatly exaggerated. Plattekill up through VT looking snowy tonight, with less than a tenth of inch NCP tomorrow. Sucks to mess up the pow, but you know what they say, December is a basebuilding month!

    Cause.... it's December, right?
.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

FKNA. Great seeing & skiing with you & EW today. Twas an incredible day. Also good to finally meet & ski with Aldo, Lynchdogger and some other mags that I hadn't met before. Just wish I was able to get here yesterday as I must have been all-time goodness - today was damn close & tomorrow should be great as well as long as the weather holds. The good news is that as of my last run the top half of the mountain was covered in clouds and was snowing lightly. Nothing really falling at the base, but as long as we don't get much non frozen precip tomorrow's going to be another sick day. Sure hope I can still bend my knees at the end of the weekend!

Come & get it folks. My phrase of the day was "these are the days that I live for".

    edit* Looks like $80 for a non-passholder. I'm out.

Hey folks, even though there is snow potential, the forecast is still calling for some r**n and, more importantly for us, really high winds. With the likelihood of wind holds, we are going to postpone our demo event at Smuggs, hopefully to next Saturday. In the meantime, feel free to get in touch with us over the week if you want to try something out.
