I was thinking of heading further north for Thursday & Friday, but just found out I've got a meeting that I actually need to be physically present for on Thursday, so it looks like that plan is shot. With the chance of decent snow on Thursday, I may just drive up Thursday night & stay at Magic for Friday. Would be great to take some runs with ya if you make it out on Friday as I'm usually in the car & on the way home around noon on Sundays.

I have to go to KMART this weekend with my brother in laws, all just starting out ( gapers for sure) and was looking for a couple of 2/1's if possible.....Will be there friday sat and then I will be heading to magic for sunday alone thank god .....if around give a shout .. will be on WORTHS.....
*IF* the projected snowfall totals hold it looks like Magic/Flatton/Bromley & Okemo are in the bullseye, with totals dropping as you go north & south. I'd guess K-mart would be in pretty decent shape if the storm actually happens. Will keep an eye out for you on Fri & Sat - I'm assuming there will be about 25 people on the hill for Friday, so it shouldn't be to hard to meet up.

Fingers crossed. Last weeks snow started really heavy before turning into light powder, so stuff filled in pretty well from the heavy stuff. I'd imagine 6"+ would bring an awful lot of terrain into play that hasn't been skiable yet this year.

    Edit - PTT:

Today at Sugarbush. That's Johnny Egan buried in there. Another powder day and the winter storm watch is up for tomorrow.

Looking bery bery nice atk! After a nothing less than fantastic 5 day stretch at Smuggs (and a day off today to rest and catch up on some little thing called work) I am looking forward to heading down to the Bush tomorrow and hitting, among other places, CR and doing a few trips out the LT. My only other trip there this year was early in the season with limited terrain being in so this pic has me having flashbacks of the last few days and all the continuous face shots that were enjoyed by everyone. Great shots by all, keep'em coming and damn it was good to see everyone with big ole shit eatin' grins on their faces after every trip back down to the gate.

If anyone is around SB tomorrow and interested in meeting up, shoot me a pm.

So I've got some skis that I need to mount dynalook plates on. I decided a while back that I was going to home mount these. Based on what I've seen on here, it doesn't seem too difficult. But now that I'm ready to get this done I'm honestly getting a little nervous. Any mag in the MA area willing to supervise? I've got the tools and the beer.

Does this mean it's our turn now? I seriously hope so! Anybody looking for a couch at Magic get ahold of me. Will probably drive up Thursday night unless a miracle happens and I get that off too.

GREAT day at MRG - literally exponentially better than Monday. Quote of the day (thankfully not from the Bottle Woman though I guess it could be); "It's amazing what a couple of extra inches can do."

Arrived late (11AM) and shuffled over to Paradise for the first time this year. Arrived to find this

Am I in a parallel universe? Is this 1992? Really? Freshies on Paradise at 11AM? What in the H-E-double toothpicks is going on here?

Found great snow all over the mountain - not the chest deep up in the Notch but stinkin' gorgeous nonetheless. Hit lots of my faves for the first time this season.

Still, did live up to my promise and made a run (OK, two) under the Birdland lift

Highlight of the day occurred on the last run. Chose lift line found some great conditions. Engaged in a spirited discussion with a youngster on the lift and I (not surprisingly) informed him that I was "the best damn skier on the mountain." His buddy was on the lift behind him and he laughingly informed me (as the Bottle Woman was bumping it up behind me) "I don't think so dude - Hell, even your girlfriend is better!" Smart ass kid FTW!!!!!!!!

Edited to add that no snow leopards nor instabilities were noted.

Oh, and the 185DBs are the BEST. Thinking of changing my name and relocating so that I don't have to give 'em back. Without question the nicest planks I've had under me. If by some miracle it should snow I'm itching to try the big ol' Georges in the DEEP.

    Dude... don't go jinxing shit.

Let me know if you want me to scoop you on the way up on Thursday, but I'm not sure whats up with Sunday heading back. Should be a good weekend as Mrs & Jr are heading up on Friday night w/ my mother in law & sister in law so they can watch the boy & I won't have to switch off with the Mrs every couple of hours. Not sure what my story is on Sunday as it is our anniversary. Will have space (two cars) heading back south on Sunday, but I'll probably end up heading home around noon.

    Big Sunday at Smuggs

Here's an edit my buddy Pete threw together from Big Sunday at Smuggs. I grab the camera from him at some point too. Big Sunday was off the hook!

Today wasn't so bad either, snow had more density down low, but there were plenty of freshies to be found, the PowderJet continued to dominate.. Enjoy

Looks like the spine is looking at 6-8" again, hope that turns into 40" like last weekend. That upslope engine cranked.

today at smuggs was unreal, notch turned 6" overnight into 12"+ as usual. it was a repeat of the weekend all over again. Got some pics I will throw up.

Off on another subject I need to do a favor for my dad, he just got some k2 hardsides and I told him I would mount them but I have no clue weather I should used a 3.6x9 drill bit or a 4.1x9?

Last weekend was the best. Small amounts of sleep, followed by hours of pure, unadulterated ecstasy with a rippin' crew of friends. Wish I had been able to meet up with all of them, but you know how it goes on powder days.. not a single shot was taken on Saturday because it was just snowing too damn hard.
