It was some spooky shit. First sighting for this old timer. Still shivering - the wine and open fire are helping though.

Looks like I have a rare solo day tomorrow as I've managed to stay north a day longer than the wife did.. most likely ski wildcat unless someone can convince me to hike. Honestly id really love to spend a day up high but everything I can read suggests its not worth it...

PSA to anyone considering hiking with me... im gonna be slow. Like 1 1/2 year old at home, working full time and just started grad school kinda slow...

Still love to get out tho, or make turns at the cat. Black coat, red pants, neon explosives...

Well I skied Burke today, for the first time ever, and damn, what a place! The skiing was, in a word, icy. Like really really icy, worse ice than I've skiied in a loooooong time, but exploring around a cool mountain kept me entertained all day long. I could see this mountain absolutely kicking ass with some more snow/softer conditions. Also, I wanted to ask some of you NEKers about what I saw off in the distance from the top of East Bowl (which coincidentally has quickly become of my favorite trails). I was instantly intrigued... feel free to PM me...
Off to Jay tomorrow, hope some snow has been left around.

We're proud to launch the brand spanking new WorthSkis.com!! Feel free to read a bit more about what we're doing with the site here, but in short we'll be constantly updating the gallery images (the images on the homepage) with fresh stoke to keep you stoked during those long days in the office and keeping the blog updated with all sorts of NE skiing info, maybe even some conditions updates as well. A bit later we'll be rolling out gallery image submission for the masses, but if any of you mags have images that you think could be candidate for the front page, shoot myself (or tc or weasel) a PM. We're still deburring the edges, so if you see something wrong, I'd appreciate a message. Thanks guys!

Started my ski journey at Burke way back in the 70's. A really nice place and def. fun with more snow.

Website looks great, sell some skis, I am going to try and make for teh party. Checked out that area you mentioned, a bakers dozen cars made me exit. No idea what they were all doing though. Saw a group of 10 20 something dudes and what may have been a backpack full of video equipment and astroglide. Saw a truck of someone I know will try to get some info from him.

Put together a video of my ski trip yesterday, angle is off, no music as I though I would let the snow do the talking.
Peninsula looks enjoyable, 12 hours 1 way is a long drive for me though.
Good on you Rog for being a good host, maybe I can make the next ride.

Got a few pictures of an area of logging I have been looking at for several years. Could never get a good look at it, but from this perspective it looks like my next
    bc adventure.

SPAM I have been busy working on the master bath among other things.

I assume it was the white fields you saw out on the horizon. those are on percy,s peaks outside of strattford NH, off of rt 110. no secret, they get skied. not sure this is the year for them though, yet.

VTF- nice to see you turning that frown upside down

Heh. Haven't skied Burke for what must be twenty years or so but that's the trail that's burned in my memory. Skied it on a good day with my 208 Kastle Super Gs. A GREAT ski in its time.
