oops, I was south of there. I remember biking to panama, and it wasn't an impressive ride either. must have been punta uva or puerto viejo. Reggae town kind of vibe, mellow.
Angry Swede - I'm not mad about your blog post, just the snow down here. Even the lack of ice is appalling and highs in the 40s in the city all week won't help. Just gotta wait until TC puts up some more pics, I guess. But what will happen when those guys go to Japan? The Canuks better step up, that's what.
Oh it's so great in the arctic circle. yeah yeah, how about some more pics!!!
(or pics of midwinter skirts on St. Laurent in winter, either way).....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

There is this odd, white powdery stuff blowing about outside. It seems to have covered the ground, and is drifting and moving like bleached sand. It's very strange. Anyone know what this could be? Did a volcano erupt in Rutland and spew ash all over the area? I'm very confused...
:-)
Edit: Okay, now I am starting to get paranoid. 4 years on this board and nary a PTT. This week, this is, what, number 3? I need to get out more. Okay, couple inches of fresh snow, sun is shining, breakfast in my belly, time to roll.

For you boarders trekking into the BC with TC, are you using a splitboard?

LD- sorry I will be gone dude, the gear is at my house. If you need a place let me know also and thanks! Spoke to a friend today who was in the CH's last week and said they were skiing fat. When I get back let's head up.
Caprice- they all have split boards

Absolutely. Got some interesting development that may assist! Place to stay would be killer if your down with that. Shoot a pm with details. I'll leave a killer bottle of wine and when ya get back I'll cook up a feast to pay back. Grilled seabass is the specialty and does not disappoint! Jealous of the tits deep you are about to experience and the culture. Get some!

Had to follow my nose this morning and lucked out. This line either blows in or out. The first three turns were steep and bullet proof. The rest was one long bottomless faceshot. I finally got it. Happy now.

EC'ers apparently just wanna go fast and do not have a clue about the goodness right around the next bend tree or drop . . . too bad.

More for me . . . and you abd for me . . .suckers hehe
bump for quality notch stoke . . .

and doesn't get better than this to set the pace . . . nice choice
Hey buttahflake watch out for the puckerbrushes . . .
Turns and heady toppers? Who else is around mid late next week? Ill be up for meetings and pow from Barre to Burlington to Smuggs and around . . . if snows; less work and more play or at least early mornings closer to the weekend we get. 6-12" pow clause is in the contract.
Hey Burke quad running yet?

Definitely a good morning when they forecast 1-3 and it ends up more like 5 before it stopped snowing. No pics from me but i can say the notch funfetti cloud was in full effect. Lots of pow to be found.

Damn, the Notch is pulling it in, nice efforts harvesting the bounty. Makes one want to wander.

Today at the Bush. Sweet sunshine, new snow and surprisingly good turns in the right places.

wow. wait, no, that's not right...
WOW!!!!!
There we go.
Today was by far my best EC day this season. I got up to stowe this morning right before 8, and it was looking snowy. Had an untracked nosedive woods - I was planning on just skiing some powderouy for my first run with the new worth boards, the big fat Georges, but the woods without a single track looked way too inviting. That was pretty $$. Made it down in time to catch one of the first gondis, and after passing two slowboarders on the traverse (one guy was bobbling around, the other looked super pissed that I basically snaked his first tracks!!), had my way with an untouched canvas in AF!! Holy shit that was good, and with an easy 8-10", there's no way it could not have been good. Pretty much continued to lap AF all day, and I pretty much continued to ski pow all day long. UNREAL! Caught two laps at the end of the day with Bushwacker, one schwacky, another pretty good fun and found myself still skiing fresh at 415 on a saturday. Is this real life?? Best EC day this year for sure!! I went hard bell to bell (ok ok, they do technically open at 730 on the weekends, but... really??) and I'm thrashed. So much fun though!!
And as far as the Georges go, I could go on and on, but I'll just say: holy shit these sticks rock! EMR(?? I talked with you and your buddies on the lift.) if you want more info / wanna figure out how to demo these boards (or any of the others, for that fact), shoot myself or Weasel1 a message. We'd love to get you on 'em. And as I said there are a few pairs (not sure off the top of my head what) at OGX.
Oh and I'm quite pleased so far with the Cochises! Nice to finally have a touring boot, just can't wait to get it out on the skin track woot woot!
Hahahaha, thanks to you and everyone else for staying off the mountain! easy 8-10 out there, so sick.
Glad you finally got some!!
In short, yes. What are you planning? I'll prolly be up at stowe on thurs or fri with the gf, skiing woods and all sorts of goodness...
Good luck with that. Inbounds is effectively scrapped clean, including some really great glare ice (as my few runs around mid afternoon showed me). If you go far enough out tho, it's still there. I was skiing untouched pow at 415 today
Adddit: Bottle/Weasel: either yous up at the Bowl today? How was it? Pretty torched after going hard all day, but thinking about hitting it up on tues.. Plus, I wanna try the HB.
