    Ultimate Sacrifice

I've been off the grid for a while. Some of the Magic Mags know my deal but here it is for all to see. It's got to start dumping now.

Just got word from Goniff (he's in Japan) that he had a similar mishap so he won't be there when you get there TC.

Heal up quick, I'm rocking kidney stones and have to schedule lythotrypsy. I'd rather get waterboarded.

Nice eug! , only been 1 or 2 days like that this year.

Snowing at smuggs 5-6" of fresh in the trees. Tracked out stuff is firm. Trails are skiing great

TC, I am not sure I believe you... That was pretty special... 3-4 feet in 3 days with last 18 falling with no wind. One non-stop faceshot whole way down. I had to cut out a bunch of video where camera was just plastered with snow.

Now the best part of the story is that this is what we skied on a week later...

Nice Eug - Always worth the hike to get a little religion

That damn chute on the exit is responsible for a nice chunk out of the nose of my board, I got very up close and personal with the trees off the cat track also!

Eug, you've been on quite the roll the last few pages. Looking forward to seeing the Cham TR though, and I don't want to distract you into replying.

To be filed in the circular cabinet of THIS WEATHER SUCKS, I was supposed to go Ice Climbing in the gunks on sunday but there isn't any ice. I might hit Belleayre to test the theory of the missing ice in the Catskills, but I will no doubt be disappointed on both counts.

    home sweet home

beautiful day here on the seacoast. stellar actually. felt good to pull on the winter rubber and get back on the rocket this morning. surfed 2 different breaks by myself. no one around. the second session at the wall was REALLY fun, but had to get to work which kept it shorter than i would've liked. probably caught more fun waves in 30 minutes there than in 2 hours in costa rica. not too shabby.

best part about going away, for me, is coming home.

    Not for us!!!!

Just kidding dude, get some pics up already. I am among the serious fans of the waves of CR. Puerto Limon and Mal Pais are the best of both as far as I remember. Had a blast.

Did not realize it was that cycle dude, Sweet! Yeah would be nice to have a day like that this year.

Some loud skiing and some quiet skiing today, snowing pretty good when I left. A few more inches would improve things

Ml242- puerto limon the city, I think that had the highest crime rate in CR. I was straight scared there. But the beaches south of it are nice.

Cats have seriously gotten skunked thus far. Dacks don't sound much better on the ice climbing front as a friend of a friend took a rock to the face this am and had a nice ER visit.

If you like maps and graphs as much as I do, there are some other years snow cover maps for comparison along with a few ramblings HERE

To follow with the reminiscing, here's a repeat post of me last year at Smuggs

Aaah that's where it went. Feel free to wash and put in your arsenal or I'll get it back some day! If we ever ski together again . . . hopefully soon. Getting redonkulous.

Goniff is heading home as soon as he can arrange it. That's going to be one long suck of a trip.

I hope it is not too serious, we were really looking forward to meeting up with him. Super bummed about that and for him.

Snowing pretty hard here and accumulating, the 5-6" that fell in the last couple days on top of some more tonight should make for some good pow turns in the BC.
