So long as you don't care that I disappear upstairs for a half-hour at 7 to put the tinies to bed (Kerri is away), dinner tomorrow at my place for those who can stick around in Midd.... My (in)famous alfredo is on tap, haven't made it in a while. Either real-deal or gluten/dairy free options will be available. BYOB.

We have wild life.

I had to yell at this bozo to get off the race course sort of distracting to racers. Then I noticed another parent telling him he was making his mountain (Ragged) look like a joke and to hike through the woods to find a different way down.Last edited by Tuckerman; 01-30-2012 at 09:23 AM.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

So I'm taking a clinic at Loon Feb 13-14. Looking for either hostel reccos or a couch to crash on if anyone lives in that area. Happy to provide beer and references.

Not Lynn but in the same area. Very similar riding. And I'm definitely going to miss riding like this when I leave the north shore. Regardless of where I go I doubt there will anything quite like Lynn.
And I'll be at MRG tomorrow. Decided to wait a day because I'm a cheap fuck. Could be quite good. Looks pretty dead today, plus a couple of more inches tonight and there could be some nice pow stashes!

MRG was surprisingly nice today with much better cover than I had expected. New snow got pushed around quickly but there were definitely some soft turns. 18" of snow at the stake so no woods turns for this injured too many times while trying to making chicken soup from chicken shit veteran. Snowing lightly but no accumulations through 1:00 or so.
Did some Bowl recon on the long way home and it's possible they may have over-exaggerated their report of a dusting
Truly dust on crust at the top of the Gap, leading me to believe that Bailey's would not be the preferred choice for tomorrow. Stopped in the lot to find 15 cars (I counted) and a string of empty chairs. Allen looked buffed to perfection and still corduroy at 2PM. If folks are still game I'd happily rip cruisers and ride lifts at the Bowl tomorrow - would love to ski MRG again but I can't stomach the turn back the clock Gong Show any more. My sense is that General Stark's will be skied out by the end of today, much less tomorrow AM unless folks have bigger balls, fatter skis, younger knees and higher risk tolerance than I have to go adventuring.
Just my two centavos.
Post will be copied and pasted on epicski.

I have one crappy cell pic from earlier today that will give you a little taste...I'm sure TC will have much better goods to share later but it was definitely better than I expected. I hit this spot 3 times starting around 10:00 and never saw anyone eles's tracks. Surprise powder day indeed and practically empty until around noon.

If I knew we were allowed to post pictures of carving on groomers I could have captured the Missus and I rocking it under the Birdland Chair today
