Nice! I have only used my plow 3 times this year. Its been melting pretty quick here in the valley. On the upside I have skating rink in my driveway, may trade the plow for a zamboni...

I would meet you down there tuesday. need to grab those skis anyway and maybe drop some off.

First Worth dawn patrol tomorrow at smuggs. Radar is looking good and snowing hard out right now. Maybe it will keep up this time.

NOAA says thunder snow tonight. I <3 thunder snow. TC, come on down!!! Maybe that will boost the .5" prediction for tomorrow night up to 4-6"? Seriously, your move north has totally hosed the BC snowpack down here... :-)

    Bush webcam looks promising....

And weasel/tc, I could prolly do snowbowl on tues too, was planning on being out somewhere anyways.

Sounds like a worthy gathering at the Bowl Tuesday. Might have to pawn the toddler off on my brother for a spell. Then again, he's a good excuse for me to suck wind on the climb... :-)

Will be investigating the back side tomorrow AM boys. Won't mention what is not happening in the Valley right now - think snowy thoughts and pray for that West wind.

^^^ yeah stopped snowing here also. No expectations at this point. But meeting you guys to ski would be great. I think we actually may be the best skiers on the mt
If that still works when you are the only skiers

Are you intimating I'm not the best skier on the mountain every day that I get out? Watch closer next time

Literally not a single flake in Cornwall but as TC has noted, this is not where we ski. Will be at the Mighty Bowl both Monday and Tuesday no matter the conditions. If the mountains won't bring the fight to us, let's bring the fight to the mountains!

I'm sick of waiting for it to snow so this will have to be good enough. Hell, I've averaged 40 days a year or more for twenty plus years (hence the best skier on the hill - see above) and I've only been out half-a-dozen days so far. Sign me up for some of those damn rose colored glasses.

Hope to see a bunch of you fools over the next couple of days.

Had a few good runs with TC, HA, Sequiashan, Vinman, Biff Chalupa, etc at Smuggs Sat. Then we did some uphill training Thanks all for again showing me around Smuggs.

Today at Jay was surprisingly good. Started puking about 11am and kept up most of the day. We were poaching Green Beret and when we layed off for 4 runs elsewhere our tracks were all but covered (thanks wind).

Put the Worth Daily Breads to the test today on the variable conditions of firm bumps with and without cream, firm smooth woods with cream, glass hard rain crust, etc. Was absolutely flying though the firm low angle stuff. I loved skiing the smooth low angle woods. As long as you didn't try to buck the terrain and ski smoothly the woods flew by at scary speed.

The Worth DB's (Power core (stiffer version) with carbon) were dominant on the groomers, in the open woods, and on steeps (steep here is relative, low 30's, I've yet to test them on anything 40+, hopefully that will come soon). The only place they didn't excel were very tight trees. By very tight I mean that you have to pick a spot to be able to throw the ski sideways. They just have too much length and stiffness to excel in the really tight trees, in that sense they remind me of my 188 Pure Wailer 105's. Point em straight with a few short quick hop turns and look for a spot to shut it down when you get going too fast.

Was able to fly over and follow the trenches in the stiff firm bumps. The tail is loose and soft enough that you can butter it and change direction on a dime to ski em smooth. The tip is stiff enough, but not too stiff, to provide stability when going "over" more than following the trenches. If you have difficulty staying forward and aggressive or don't like to push the speed limit you won't like the power core though.

Groomers - I had a first today, I got more rebound out of the ski than my legs could handle, and it wasn't a race ski. There was hero groomer snow and I was laying em wayyy over. They hooked up right and I was in a set of full on GS turns. I kept pushing the rebound I could get out of them and on my third turn of a set I got so much rebound out of them I couldn't control it and my downhill leg absorbed it instead of using it to accelerate.

The conclusion of my mini - review (still working on a full on review for Tech talk) based on three days of less than stellar conditions; this ski is powerful. It flys through the bumps, rips groomer, holds on all but boilerplate ice, and charges through trees. It doesn't get tossed around. But, this is not the core combination for everyone. You must work this ski. I need to ski the response core for comparison, but if you are under 6' and 180lbs, I don't think you want the power core as your everyday driver. Even if you are (I'm 6' 195 and in pretty good shape) you may want the response core. I'm excited to try it.

Just packed up the bag so I am ready to roll in the morning if things look good...Monday mornings in the office are always slow, at least this will be my justification tomorrow.

Probably end up at smuggs but the bush is an option if the bands are kinder to the MRV.

Hmmmm, NWS discussion says moisture and snow "dove South". Thinking I'll bail on the Bush today if that's the case. Any reports from the MRV?

2 1/2" light snow overnight. Breezy and 22.6` with not much falling at this time.

Watching the 6 hour loop with the push south[focasters missed this last night] and maybe our 6+ headed to Worth? Bottlerocket, get after it.

2-3 on the ground at my house at ~1000ft elevation. Smuggs web cam shows snow falling currently. Forecast calls for squalls on and off during the day.

3- 4" at my house of new. Glad I slept through the early alarm. This is why I dont listen to forecasts anymore, just see what drops, which was not much.

3-4 is almost waist deep for me.....I'll take it. 3-4" on a weekday is good enough for me. See you in an hour.
