Tonight still holding promise, just need a few degrees.
Don't forget your rain gear. Hope tonight works out, but I am officially disgruntled. F this winter. I think I'm ready to ride my bike again. At least that's consistently good. Let me know how it goes and what's left behind up there. Maybe I'll motivate tomorrow morning but doubt it.

Vt-Free thanks. I will def go and enjoy some dinosaur metal. I can handle that better that a 45 min jam session where a drummer plays a vacuum. I'm not hating, I tried a Phish show. Not my thing. I have to say watching the crowd was more of a show than what was happening on stage. The 20 girls will most likely be wearing leather and will at least be shaved.

    cannon...

The dogs, cats, & mice were restless at my homestead last night. As the howling wind threatened to send the house into the land of OZ, I wondered what the morning would bring to our slopes. It's not all multi-colored horses and flying monkeys, but there's some good news. We picked up 3-5 inches of new snow last night, with much deeper wind drifts in places. The snow is of a heavy texture due to some mixed precip thrown in, which is great base snow for the all natural trails, glades, & Mittersill. At the moment, we're experiencing borderline freezing rain and high winds that may affect lift service.

    Jay report.

    Friday, January 27th @ 7:00a

The GOOD NEWS: We got new snow!
The NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS: We're currently receiving translucent snow.

TODAY:  We did pick-up 2-3" of fresh snow last night, but as of 7:00am there is a bunch of funk falling from the sky. On the bright side however, the new snow will be soft and if temps just fall a degree or two, everything will be white again.

Absolutely POURING in the Champlain Valley. Might go into the rain slicker business in hopes of making enough sales to make a trip to Japan. I hear it snows there.

Sorry, I meant skin up the Tuckerman Ravine trail and ski the Sherby. Should have been clearer. Only early season when there are few skiers and lots of ice on the TRT would I skin up the Sherby. Never WALK up the Sherby.

Np, having never skied either of them I just wanted to double check. The only reason I though of that was becasue mr. goodman told me but that was back in 99.

-Its 50 and raining here in RI, I'm about to break the fishing rods out and go get me some winter stripers
