I'd be game if I wasn't so lame... back home wheeling and dealing to keep Ullr happy. Glad he sent some goodies our way, though.

I'll be doing hamstring stretches by the Waffle Haus for the next half hr. Say hi.

Wish I was up north getting in on some of this action, but alas back in the flatlands for the holidaze. Actually been out fishing, which has been a bit too unproductive, but since there's no skiing to be had around here, I gotta get out doing something..
Shoulda gone back north, but I guess I mis-read the forecast... Oh well. Glad to see that mother nature's finally getting her shit together.
Heading out to Jackson soon, and aside from the storm rolling through there now, things have been rough out there too... Guess we'll see how things play out.

Hope this coming mess stays solid up north.

    Hello all,
Thanks to Ryan @ Alpine Live, I just linked up w/ this forum. Looking forward to sharing info, and getting some of the best turns New England has to offer this year. It's the 1st time in years I'm not living @ a resort. The benefit: I can ski/ride wherever it's best. The sacrifice: I actually NEED to decide...
So, here's to the internet, and the opportunities it presents!
    Tom

Don't think the 2" new would do much out there . I will send you a lock of hair though. Trails are boiler plate and scary everything natural has been poached and now it looks like we are in for a good glazing. Bummer

Some surprisingly good turns to be had - the lower the angle, the more the fun

I for one got some laps off paradise traverse yesterday. Deepest snow I have skied in awhile- justified my 112rp's on their first day out. Castle rock just holds that snow. Prolly be at the bowl tomorrow with my kid. Grey jacket, grey helmet, beige pants - what's up with my color scheme?

Anyone have any hotel/lodging recommendations for the mad river area? Looks like we're going to take our chances there tomorrow. Also, any ideas regarding eating and drinking are welcome...

Diamondback and I hit up a stash today, you find some of the best turns in the most unexpected places. No wind affect and bottomless turns

Nice gets Bottle and TC! At home with wife and kids today, Mrs. Weasel and I both woke up with a NASTY stomach bug. Add to that cooped-up tinies, and we are survival parenting. More screen time for tinies today than the last month combined. Here's hoping the glazing turns to snow instead...
In better news, skis are DONE! Shipping from Keith on Monday...woot!

Very nice TC! Looks like my kind of pitch Temps are suddenly looking better for the overnight, although my optimistic outlook is obviously tempered by the fact that I had my first pow turns of the season and I am now just as deluded as the rest of youse. Still a little thin for this shopworn bastard but damn, it was good to feel the float again.

The new touring setup is a dream - loved my Dukes when they were "new" (and will still use them when needed) but DAMN, those Plum Guides make the up one Hell of a lot easier. Still, I must admit that I jongishly broke a pole whilst changing climbing gears Tough to teach an old dog new tricks
