Thread: East Coast Roll Call V---> SO MUCH better then all the other roll calls

Granted I've moved off the EC, but I certainly don't post in here much anymore because of the ridiculous attitude of the crowd here. Most I've met and if they acted on here like they did in person it would be soooo much better. What is the point of being a dick waiving cocksucker on the internet?? I just don't get it.

Throughout the years he was always real cool with me on beta about various places, I bugged him alot about daks conditions and he always super helpful.

This place is kinda like a family in that we all have that one uncle who is kind of strange, sometimes it boarders on being insulting but you know its just his personality so you let it go. With any large group of people certain personalities don't mesh well but the info and pics make up for it.

Don't know what brand skins you got, but G3's come with a cool cutting tool that helps you cut the optimal distance away from the edge of the ski. Basically you want to stick the skins on the skis symmetrically and then trim back the sides of the skins so that the metal ski edges are exposed all along the length, with maybe a mm or 2 of base visible as well. Let me know if you want to use the tool and I can drop one in the mail for you to borrow. It makes it easier, but you should be able to do it with a razor and a steady hand.

Maybe if you weren't having safety meetings in your car all day this would be easier...

^^ there should be some good you tubes as well. BD had a good vidoe how-to on their skins page years back.
works well with a sharp utility knife...basically use ski edge to cut one side, move skin 1 edge width to other side and repeat. that leaves both edges exposed.

am hearing 3-5" tonite for south central VT on the radio and elsewhere, so here's hoping tomorrow is GOOD and NATURAL!

Yes, very true. My ex gf the Pats cheerleader had some of the best tits I've ever climbed on, but that didn't change the fact that she was a raging cunt too. The roll call was meant to be a place where everyone could grab a spot at the bar get a tall cold drink and swap stories about how fucking rad their day was, it doesn't matter if you were slaying the bunny slope or charging some high consequence no fall line.

The idea of this place and this thread is a community of people who share the stoke of just being out there, I dare anyone to say that the community is ANYTHING BUT diminished when ANYONE decides to leave this place REGARDLESS of who they are. It upsets me when people leave, and it upsets me that people are happy that people have left.

I've met both Petrics and Do Work and they're both stand up Maggots who I'd ski with ANY day of the week, it absolutely breaks my heart that there's so much venom around this place, I hope once the snow starts falling that WE as a community can sack up, realize that sometimes we just type stupid shit and I WILL gladly buy each and every person in this silly EC feud a beer if they would just get together, calm down and realize at the end of the day we're all sliding down snow. It doesn't matter if you're a lurker or a dick waver you're still a member of the Community and when that community splinters we are ALL diminished for it

I thought the safety meetings would make it easier! Thanks for the info. I got BD ascension sts skins. They came with a cutting tool. I should be alright then. If I can wire a water plant I think I can handle it.

I don't really disagree with what you're saying Laser, but I think that the sentence fragment above pretty much cuts to the heart of the matter - at least for me. Very true. Every time I've left the EC in search of snow, it's dumped back home the day after I leave. Hopefully VTSession's trip will do that for us. I mean everything else has failed - burning skis, mounting snow tires, washing the car.

We really need some snow.

I have skid with greg at jay. Its minus 25 c and he are both doing trams all day. Flats and steeps and bumps and beer. If that is what does hate the skiing what does this say of you?
