I took a ride up Sunday to pickup my credentials, and get some runs.
After the past 8 months of surfing, being back on snow was, well, honestly depressing.
Ha more snow to come, things will get much better soon enough.
I didn't know I was collecting these, but here's a few I found in a desk. I know of atleast 2 I'm missing. Stowe 2001-2002 was all-time.Skiing made me Board

It's about time for bed for me. Gotta present this paper at 11:30.
Maybe I should finish it before I go to bed.

edit:
LD- great having you dude, anytime! and yeah next time we will ski, we lapped anything skiable saturday so did not think it was worth it again on Sunday.
And if you any one is contemplating a FreeRide Systems jacket from MiCol, do it, just got mine and the quality is outstanding.Last edited by thin cover; 12-14-2011 at 06:31 AM.

A dontation for sure - I'm sick of tripping over it. I've also got two 30something" tube style Sony Wega's in my basement (CT) that I would LOVE to get rid of if they are needed (that'll be another trip!) - probably go pretty nicely where the old TV's were at either end of the bar. Not sure if your TV is different from the plasma's I've had in the past, D, but I've never had a problem laying them flat. To put the mounting brackets on I usually lay down a blanket, lay the TV down gently on the screen & get to work attaching the brackets.
Sweet. Looking forward to getting our little dude on skis this winter. Any chance you guys have some 70 or 80 cm ski's laying around? In other news, my 3 year old has more days on skis then me (wtf). He's going for #6 tomorrow with grandma and grandpa (I'll be working). What a lucky little dog.
Attachment 106336
If your skis are on the roof and you drop the back seats I'm sure it'd fit flat. Or in the back seat standing up (although you'd have to avoid hitting the brakes too hard!). If Gman can't fit it, the help would be much appreciated.
Werd. Was kinda funny seeing a 1 post JONG chime in & say "Sure... I'll pickup that 50" TV for ya" LOL.
Anyhow, the TV dimensions:
48"Wx29"Hx4"D. Probably weighs 65-70lbs.
I'll be in Manhattan until about 4 today, and tomorrow from ~9AM - 7PM. Depending on the abilities of Gman or droppinloads to fit the TV and be able to pick it up today or tomorrow, I may end up having to drive into the city tomorrow & take it to CT & try to pass it off to NumbrdDays or Todd Z for a 'relay' run up to VT.
Thanks again for all the offers to help!Going where the wind don't blow so strange

Wooooooooooooooooo!
Wow, what a week (or so) it's been! After a killer previous week, I'm finally done school! Still waiting for an official confirmation, but I'm now a master of science! Even better, now that I'm done school, it's time to ski bum for the winter!
Had an... interesting two days skiing up at stowe, including saturday, the demo day. Got to try out those fancy new DPS skis - this was actually my first time on DPS skis and, well, damn those things rock. Much nicer than the S7s, which I thought were kinda rough. Granted, not the right conditions to be testing out a ski like the S7, but... yea, both the wailer 99s and 112s were pretty damned sweet!
On another note, I still don't understand though how stowe manages to take manmade and turn it into glare ice, while a place like slowkemo manages to keep it all as snow, and highly rippable snow at that... I mean, I'd prefer to be off piste, but I suppose at this point we gotta take what we can get.
Even had a chance to find myself some awesome bc terrain in this past wk, which I didn't think I'd be able to do in early december... Stoked to have found that spot though, it looks $$. TC, you know what I'm talkin about...
And many many good times this past weekend up at TCs - thanks dude for hosting us, as always.
/blog
yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh hahaha......... woooweeee!
Glad to see the TC effect kickin in. So can I head to Stowe tomorrow, or are your powers not quite great enough to combat this coming mess?
One of these days I'll finally get up some pics of all of my recent adventures, but that'll have to wait for now now though..
Off to slowkemo a bit later to rip the groom with my folks who've come north at a not great point in this not great early season we're having.... Someone make it change, pleaaaaaase.....

Magic's latest Alpine Update is pessimistic about opening this weekend due to warm temps. Looks like the party is still on though.
Anyone have any interest in Okemo Saturday? Not ideal, but they've got a decent trail count considering the rest of Southern VT. I'm may shoot up there and ski the morning.

And now for something completely different...
Hey, if it sits in the Atlantic Ocean it must be EC, right? One could argue the Baffin Island is a tad more north than east but you will not have wasted 15 minutes if you watch this. Spectacular Hinterlandian scenery, stunning cinematography, solid skiing, philosophical Inuit, kids dancing on frozen seals and even polar bears. It's the way we all live up here, eh. Go "big screen" and turn up the volume.

I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

Dear mother nature,
What's the deal? First you try to wipe NE off the map and now you're being so prude you won't even keep it cold enough to make fake snow? The squeaky wheel gets the grease and so somebody needs to tell you flat out that you're being a fuckin' bitch for no reason and it's not cool. We drank to you, burned skis for you and worked hard in the off season to make things ready for your arrival and this is how you repay us? That's it. Fuck you. We took you out to dinner, wined and dined you and still not even a kiss goodnight. Well guess what? No more Ullrfests, no Shandipaloozas and you can kiss all that love we have for you goodbye. Yep, we had a good thing and you blew it. I take back all those nice things I said about you, I regret ever sticking up for you at all and until you change your tune, you're solidly in "stupid, selfish bitch" zone. You have good people here who always appreciate your bounty no matter the consistency and amount, never snow snob and always take what little you give with smiles and high fives. So yeah, thanks for blueballing us again and hooking up the snow snobs out west as usual and way to keep the NE on it's knees you fucking bitch. That is all.

I don't want to give away too much but I hear they have a 6 person shot ski (race stock) this year and a new "cashier girl" in the cafeteria again.
