Bump cuz I heard skiing was pretty sick at Rainier and Baker this weekend. Any other PWN mags down in for this?

Due to my surgery Sept 1 (reattaching a quad tendon)I won't be skiing until spring (arggghhh) but a good party up there would be fun.
Just here to point out that its the forest service not the sherifs department that does most of the open container busts. Still annoying, but at least be mad at the right people.

I'd be down to contribute/play. If there is space on the team, that is.

I bow down to your jurisdictional knowledge. But i'm not mad, really! Whoever it is they have on occasion gone overboard with their presence but drinking drivers and the Mt. Baker Hwy are a bad combination.
That being said, camping in the parking lot and having a party still sounds like a good idea to me.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

foreal would be a solid acquisition, that is, if you get points for chilling in the backseat and talking about how rad you are.

I would be glad to meet more PNW skiers and boarders and colaborating on video sounds cool. Keep me posted

Do we want to start a running tally of the team (boys and girls)? Copy the list from the person in front of you and add your name to bottom, group-buy style? Since it sounds like we've decided to limit each team to 8 members, we might want to start seeing how the team(s) is shaping up. If we get more than 8 people, we'll figure out how to team up somehow. Seems like there are people out there looking for partners in the PNW, but haven't yet made it to this thread. Be nice to change that...

I don't want to speak for anybody (even those who have posted in this thread), so I'll just start by adding my name to list.

Im down for more touring partners in the PNW, and I have a helmet cam to shoot footy too. I don't need a "spot," but I'd be glad to connect with people and enjoy skiing together

I dont have a helmet cam, and it doesnt seem like there are enough girls around to make a maggette team, but I am still into doing a parking lot BBQ or two, and if a team needs someone to help record shots or something... I am not likely to do anything really stokeworthy other than an impressive fall or something...

And anyone looking to make some turns.. I have a pass @ Mission, but will likely get to other PNW locales throughout the season..

I feel like this thread is perhaps infrequently read. Should there be a linky in the "snow in the PNW" thread? Does it matter? I'll put one at the top of the next page over there unless I hear vetoes from the floor here.

Regardless, I'd like to put my name on the list. I'm new to the area and would love to meet some skiers. And I don't feel too bad about taking up space since multiple teams are allowed. Are we receiving "official" cameras or not? Seems like that wasn't decided on for sure but I could have my facts wrong. I have a helmet cam if allowed.

I was gonna do this myself, so go for it.

I'm super stoked too! Kinda strained my hamstring doing yoga few weeks ago (despite being super careful about not overstretching) and damn thing is taking its sweet time healing. It really messed up my pre-season workout plans, but I hope to be strong and good to go by the end of the month.

I'm kinda new to the bc (last season was my first), but I'm hoping to find some partners that ski for the down, as my current one is more of a ski mountaineer than anything. I have a helmet cam too, if we're short (though it looks like we'll be fine in that dept).

Well Im only going to be around consistently through December but Im always willing to meet up and ski with more of you guys. I have a pass to stevens and could bring a grill + drinks up if something is arranged. Probably will do a Baker day or two and I may be back of and on throughout the season.

Bumping this action. Not a lot afoot right now, but I'm going skiing tomorrow anyways. Anybody try the GoPro chest mount? Is it worth buying? Pros/cons ?

Never used one, but I hate watching POV footage from chest mounts. Way too much movement, and all I see are legs. I want to see where you're looking when you ski, not which way your chest is facing. Just my $0.02.
