Thread: Die Hard 5?!?! Say It Isn't So...

Hollywood's think tank continues to reveal its utter lack of creativity with the release of news that Die Hard 5 is in the works.

Why?

Anybody with an iota of respect for action films knows that the first Die Hard is a seminal classic of the genre and that the subsequent 3 sequels were all just creatively diminishing returns on the original blueprint.

This editorial sums up nicely why the first film just can't be f@#ked with (i.e. topped) and why a fifth film is beyond the point.

I just thank the cinematic gods that they haven't greenlighted Lethal Weapon 5 (like DH, the first Lethal Weapon is also a seminal classic of the genre and these two films may very well be the last truly great action films to come out of Hollywood...)
