work to repair the mountain slope at the Carson Pass, east of Kirkwood, near Red Lake Road. This project is necessary in order to improve safety at this location by decreasing the rockfall activity and resulting debris from entering the roadway.

I don't remember that guy there. I was in the orange shirt with horsies embroidered on the chest. Sorry I missed you. I was hanging with Corky, Phil, snowhot, and Splitter...
Noah Howell is now one of my favorite pro skiers. That guy is sooooooo cool, really glad to have been able to meet him and the other guys in the film.

Yes. Meeting at Carson Pass at 9:30ish.
I'll be the one with the huge smile on my face because I'm bringing brand new all-carbon Lhasa Pows that I picked up from Splat yesterday. (BTW - They have demo bindings on them)

Fun day at the Roundtop with Vets. Accidentally met up with another TGRer in the Carson Pass parking lot. Was it Hamish? Pistehor? GDI I have to pay better attention on non-work days. At any rate he added a lot of fun to the day. Thanks for joining in! Snow was variable. Boiler plate in the shade, but oh so perfect corn in the sun. Unbelievably long patches for October...not that I have ever patch skied in October. Splat supplied Vets with a brand new pair of demo all carbon fiber Lhasa Pows. Super light, but burly. Jonesing for a new set now....
As usual, too lazy to post the full report here, and I know Vets will do it later. For now, check it out at Unofficial Alpine.

Rounding out the season - Round Top Oct 23
Quick excursion to Round Top on Sunday morning to finish the 10/11 season. Didn't heed the earlier PD report estimating the corn window, so it was a little firm on the descent but manageable. Made a lap on Sisters shoulder then the face patch. Saw the Vet party descending from a distance while we were hiking out.

Great day, but didn't quite match up to the season opener footage from last November.

Fun stuff. I think we saw you gearing up for your second run about the time we got up to Winnemucca Lake. Some hikers mentioned seeing you too and said we wouldn't be getting fresh tracks because you were up there first. It would have been nice to take a run together.
Due to length of the content I posted a separate TR here:

It takes a LOT for the blast to break your windshield, especially considering how strong they are. Little rocks, on the other hand...
Anyway you were probably right/safe. The foreman was just being careful bc it's really, really tough to explain blast damage when no one was supposed to be there. It makes the safety guy look like an idiot.
