Given how sharp those cables are, I'm guessing it may have blown its knee out and will have to rehab to get ready for next season.

Lift served. Skiing fantastic on all aspects.

Spring has sprung and corn was harvested, a great last few days with a couple more in store before winter returns.

    The Sierra are rockin'.

6 spun today. 4 was closed before 10:30. Wind hold, or something. Everything running down into Emigrant looked wonderful. Parts of TS looked nicely filled as well. Took the godson up a T-bar for his first time and skied perfect wind filled Button, while every one else went the wrong way. Good spring day.

Loved it today out there. Pow on north and corn on south. Actually backed off a 50-degree chute in snowmobowl on castle because it was sluffing so much. Then, velvet skittles all the way back to the donner summit rest stop. Just be careful skiing onto the little pond by the bluetop building there. It's starting to melt out and my ski almost went under the ice. Coulda been embarrassing in front of the gapers building snowmen with their kids...

Skied some nice east and NE-facing corn today. Anything that wasn't shady all day got quite nice in the afternoon. Get some while nights are cold and there's still coverage.

any south lake mags got any hook ups on places to crash friday night? me and a friend (+1 well behaved yellow lab) were thinking about a friday/sat trip to use some k-wood free vouchers..... don't need nothing fancy, just don't want to drive back to kings beach after skiing and then have to drive back again the next day...... so a cheap hotel, a vacant ski cabin, or heck even a warm alcove would work just fine.... and of course a hot tub at any of the above would be a bonus....

Seconded. What's the end of season schedule look like? 4 open to the end? Last day April 29th? I gotta get some babysitting scheduled so I can go get some corn.

Rockstar Hostel at KW is $30 a head. And then you can schralp corn, pound beers and walk home.

It looks pretty ideal. As long as snow gets packed down Saturday and a few inches fall through Friday.

    Hola my friend,
Was reading all of the speculations on Chair 6 the past few days, Chair 6 is up & running until the last day of the season here. Big ups to Patrol & Mtn. Operations team in getting her back online so fast... Patrol for the quick response and smooth evac on Saturday..
For the Season we are looking at the Back-Side until the 15th (this Sunday) then we are frontside only until the 22nd! After the 22nd we will wait and see before we announce what our plans are, most likely weekends only (Fri, Sat & Sun) but I will wait before I post this officially. Twisted Sister's is on for Friday, Sta & Sunday this weekend and the Legendary Banked Slalom is set for Saturday the 221st!
    Stay Thirsty my friends,

    Hola Ottime,
Winds have been the issue with 4 the past few days.... We want to run it until the 15th! We extended the closing date another week because the snow has been so good back there, Snow in the forecast this week!

Ummm, I'll be there ... and I'll have the Atomic Red Sleds ... but I probably won't strap those suckers on until after everything gets tracked to hell and some flying airbags take out chairs 4 and 10 ...

Soooo, post-slayage afternoon LBD???? Anyone else down?

The last 3 seasons we've tried to have an LBD and it's been spring powder. I can't complain about spring powder ... but if only the resorts would stay open into spring proper, so that we could actually have a proper LBD again since 2009!!!!!! (Proper means sun, corn, and Slayer sleeveless t-shirts and what have you!!!!)

Yo granjero, what's your skinny on powdiction for this coming cycle? Seems like it might set up some eastside lines with some good plaster for the weekend. Should we expect a Powdiction???

mucho gracias if you guys aren't too busy with papers/real work!

According to mark's report on http://unofficialalpine.com/ two feet through friday but a possible east wind that could blow it out on saturday. Followed by an endless ridge, so it could be the last of the pow.
    But there's always May!
We don't make the snow. We just make it more enjoyable.
