EDIT NO. 2 MPC #72 WILL BE EXTENDED UNTIL 9/5. I'll give you guys the long weekend to shoot and post some more.

I love it. You love it. On skis, bikes, in cars, whatever, it's more fun when it's fast. Capturing speed on a still picture has always been exciting. Hope you guys have fun with it.

RULES:
1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

I'll accept that in my case, but I almost got fantastically lucky last night. Had a meteor do the fireball thing right in front of the camera while I was getting a Milky Way shot over Mt Hood. It passed through the frame and just barely got cut off.

I don't know how fast those things go, but I'll bet it's fast enough for the MPC. I'll have to post my near miss later.
