Dynafit Aero FR's...
So, I picked up a pair of NOS Aero FR boots for basically $39. out of pocket. What are folks thoughts on these? I got 26.0 shells, and man, they fit perfectly. BUT, I bought a pair of 9 Thermofit Tour liners during the group buy last year. Does anyone have a lot of experience fitting these two? The thermofit's seem pretty large uncooked, and some local fitters have said that they should mold down a bit as well as out a bit, depending on my foot. An 8 seemed way too small, but with the fit of these boots, I think the 8 might end up working better after all.
Helps me!

We're certainly not a blues band in any kind of purest sense, but to me Rock and Roll has always had it's roots in that tradition.

I have been skiing those boots for 3 years and although I picked them up real cheap, I did not get them as cheap as you did. I really like the stock liners that came with mine. They are the touring version liner.
Do you just have the shells and are trying to use the thermofit liners? I would think you would have a good sense as to whether they are too big by how they feel uncooked with your foot in them in the shell. You can always cook them once if they feel close. I have a good shoe repair person I have taken other items to and I would trust with cutting and resewing the toe of the liners if it was me and I felt they were too long.
When I got the boots I took them along with my Langes down to the post office to compare their weights and even though they are the "tour" version they were within 2 pounds of the Langes. So they are a bit heavy for AT boots, but they are dynafit so I don't lug the binding on the uphill.
As far as skiing. They are a bit softer than my Langes, but I find them burly enough for my needs in the back country (155 pounds). I replaced the stock strap with booster straps for a more even flex.
The boot has held up well. Make sure the heel is locked into ski position before starting as sometimes it doesn't "catch" when you first turn it.
I would be interested in the shells if you decide to go another route as I have the 26 boot and I don't feel the need to upgrade.
