Resort conditions update as of Tuesday the 7th of Feb. reflecting the past days and probably the next few at least.
Current resort rating is

/ 5. I would have rated it 4 poo's out of 5 however it's been really nice out and it is still skiing after all, for another poo we're just missing the big refreeze balls of death. Only East Coast can score 5 poo's out of 5 under my rating system. Lake Louise is wide open and there's some good fall and slide out of control to your doom terrain open. ER6 is still closed.

I'll give the same rating to the Flower Couloir as well. Originally was looking at Hidden Couloir on Bow Peak, but there was going to be 2 groups ahead of us, so we changed plans. The actual couloir part was pretty manky. It had been side slipped and was really beat up. Almost unskiable. Upper bowl skied pretty well, but you still had to be on the look out for the transitions between "kind of powder", and "wind blown concrete". On a positive note, the main slopes at Bow Summit are fantastic if you want to practice your mogul skiing.

Damned...those things have gotten popular. Definatley do Flower again when the snow is good, it's totally worth it and if you're looking for some one to hit it with i'd be keen on doing it again on the next round. I watched a guy beater down the flower stem 2 years ago....way over his head and then bit it 2 turns in to it. I felt it my duty to heckle from the parking lot.

Yeah, it was fun last spring in corn snow. Today not so much. Felt like I would have beatered it if I had tried to ski it any any speed.
We're up for touring any time. Tues/Wed full day off, can do shorties Thurs/Fri mornings.

Excellent, I'm waxing up the powder skis in anticipation!

Huge surface hoar crystals building up around here. Skied the farthest out slackcountry this afternoon at Kimberley and still a few fresh lines topped by a couple inches of crystals. Skis made a sizzling noise as you turned.
We will need a wind event or a relatively warm storm to keep that hoar from becoming a problem layer."Good girls go to heaven. Bad ones go to hell. And girls on fast bikes go anywhere they want." Elena

^^ I'm in for some touring as well. Took out the Z11's today for some high speed groomers, and had enough after about 4 hours.
.
Gonna take the cross bike out for a spin tomorrow...

Same all over KH slackcountry. Largest I think I've ever seen.
On a related note, went to ski the north wall of T3 yesterday. Dropped a cornice with little/no result, but then dug a pit. Still a deep instability that failed early and spooked us bad enough to back off and ski something far more conservative.Local Golden, BC area rep for Bluehouse Skis. skied south bow summit glades this morning -24'C at road and +3'c in and hour and about 300m elevation gain. localized freak surface hoar blades 47mm long(biggest I've ever seen). bow summit above car park looked like sunshine on a bad day.

Conditions weren't bad enough to keep you from skiing 10-4!
Good times yesterday... you and the Lady are fun to ski with. I'm a little sore this am from skiing all the "powder"...If I would just stay on the ground when conditions are that bad I would be better off...
Even with lousy snow a bluebird day in the Rockies is tough to beat.
